Hi, My credit was pretty dire but faced with losing my car at the end of its PCP I thought I’d give it a go. Thankfully I was accepted and I’m still on the road and working towards improving my rating further

It depends how quick you are really. I was able to take care of everything in two days. And then took me roughly a week to be able to get the car after choosing it.

It says in their advert that "no credit footprint will be left". Yet going through the application and getting to the T&C's it reads; " a credit search will be made with multiple agencies, this will be seen on your credit file". How then can that then leave, (as the advert reads) "no credit footprint"?

Yes, by a LONG way !!! Horrible company to deal with.

The interest rate is based on your credit score, car finance don't actually decide how much interest you're going to pay its the finance company that's willing to take on your application. I got a car from them in December it was hassle free and wasn't charged a fee like other companies want. I also have friends with average/poor credit who I referred to them who have gone on to purchase cars from them. Ultimately the decision is yours if you want to take out the finance.

I am on a Trust deed, well over half way through the period. I continue to pay my car loan regularly but my car is now high mileage and looking like it will cost me money soon. I am looking to get finance but although my current finance house are happy with my regular payments, their underwriter cannot approve a new loan since I am obviously on the AIB register (trust deed).  What are the chances of CarFinance247 supporting my application for a car loan?

It's worth contacting 247 if they can help they helped me after my bankruptcy but you have to have enough money left over each month for proof you can afford another car hope this helps?

Moneybarn are the best company for this, I reckon. You'll need to get the approval of your trustee before they will consider you but they have approved people with trust deeds in the past.

If you are in full time work & earning over £1000 pm then I would say your chances are good. I started making payments on my new car last October but obviously the APR is slightly more increased then normal due to my poor credit score.

I can only speak from experience. I would not trust carfinance247 as far as I could throw them. ABSOLUTE SHOWER !!! They say you have the finance, then you don't, then you do, then you don't etc etc, you get the picture. UKCREDIT I have found to be brilliant. It's not a guarantee that you will be accepted but at least you get treated as a normal person, by a normal person and they go to great lengths to help you as much as possible. This is only my experience but over time I have dealt with a few and I cannot fault UKCREDIT.

Myself and my husband are thinking of going through this company but sorry to say but it sounds to good to be true. My hubby has already spoke to someone and they requested a fee but it sounds a bit dodgy and we don't want to waste that amount of money to a company that we don't know of. Does anyone have any advice for us? Thank you

Kept telling me I was approved with no problems. Took me a week to find a suitable vehicle. Rang them and again I was assured all was well, so I placed a deposit on the vehicle. Then when it came to the crunch, NO finance. Said it had been re-evaluated and declined. All within an hour of saying "no problem". Then all of a sudden, they are not keen to talk to you. Trust them at your peril !!!

Should not be a problem as you would have to supply previous address as well if you have only been in your new property for less than 3yrs
