“Good broker service- time consuming”

The broker service is good in the fact they have good partnership with other companies giving you a cheap deal, seem to have a sizable database of insurers, however the person on the phone was not very welcoming, more of an attitude he doesn't want to be there. Not very engaging with the customer at all, seemed like a tick box situation. would have preferred to have bit more politeness and etiquette in the staff considering dealing with customers who are looking to commit over £1000. “Lovely customer service chap, very long call to get setup”

The chap I spoke with was very nice, obviously very skilled and knew his stuff. I would happily speak to him again. The company procedure of re -asking all questions, took over an hour to set up. I spent long periods of time on hold whilst he spoke with mangers more than once. Some frustrating duplications with questions. I think my date of birth was asked for 4 times.. Asking for copies of too much. Copy of V5, Licence, No claims etc. Never been asked for most of this before. The price was good but when I inquired through price comparison website a week before my renewal the price was cheaper. When conformed the quote found it to e higher. I was happy to eventually get insured and to be fair the operator on the line was helpful, however the length of waiting time could've been shorter, also the quote I received online to the one I was actually offered was different but that was because I did enter my mileage incorrectly. Also so many questions were asked that I've never been asked by an insurer before , I hope to not have to claim I'm just happy to be insured. I purchased insurance from RCIB on Friday morning and got told I'll have to wait for an advisor to call to confirm my insurance. As I didn't get a call by Saturday 12:30pm I decided to call the office. I was on hold for 1hour 20 mins before hanging up then calling again to explain I was holding for that long. On the plus side..... super friendly service, the lady at the end of the phone was polite, couteous and a pleasure to talk to! On the negative side....... I was on hold for exceedingly long periods listening to a recording of "YOUR CALL IS IMPORTANT TO US........Blah, Blah, Blah". The whole telephone call lasted 53minutes & 55seconds. I received a callback from a very polite friendly, gentleman over at RCIB who was very thorough explaining everything to me and processing my insurance as fast as possible whilst I was in the taxi going to collect my car. The thing I most appreciated on the call was the fact that I received a discount for my riding experience in my home country, although I have no claim bonus in the UK. Also the operator I spoke to was very understanding; for him I would put 5 stars, and I hope this rating doesn't affect him directly. But the overall experience was disappointing. I purchased my insurance online as most people do nowadays. I wanted my car insured from 31.03.18 and filled out this date. After completing the confusing questionare it said I would not be insured until this had been checked. The customer service was great in iteself, the person I dealt with was friendly but the team are very well rehearsed in this scheme.thats exactly what it is really. A scheme. Your quote, no matter what it is, will be higher than what price comparison websites say. Not by a small amount but by a great deal. And if you don’t like it, you’re getting charged £65 pounds for the process anyway, They are not an insurer, they are a broker. Be warned.
