I have been with another insurer for several years as their prices have always been so good. I had multiple cars insured with them, my wife, sister, mum father and law all moved to this other insurer also, due to their brilliant prices and super friendly customer service.

However, I found my insurance was going up steeply, when nothing had happened to bring about such increases. Although doubtful anyone could beat my previous insurer, I thought I should just check.

It is very difficult to make direct comparisons as, due to excess levels and excesses on certain parts of the cover and also one policy might include things that are optional and chargeable benefits on the other. Notwithstanding these points, I saved almost £200/yr on my car insurance. Now I will be looking to move all my other policies as well.

Website was a little twitchy, so I phoned RCIB and although this meant going through everything I had already done online, the person dealing with me was polite and helpful.
