Just bought a new car so rang to tell them. Got told my current provider couldn't cover me. Why?! The advisor gave me a price with some other provider - much more expensive. She advised me to look elsewhere. So I went on line and took out a new policy with Swinton. Called PO back (my third call) and THEN he told me I'd be charged £55!! I went ballistic. No way was I going to pay that when they had told me to look elsewhere for a decent quote and hadn't warned me. I demanded to speak to a team leader. Allegedly none was available. I asked if they all work unsupervised! I insisted in a team leader calling me the next day when I got in from work. Now comes the only positive bit - she did call me back and she agreed to waive the £55 cancellation fee. A miracle! The hassle and sheer rage and frustration I'd gone through in my previous three calls was beyond belief. A bunch of rip-off fools.
