I have searched in many places for cheaper Insurance and I haven't been successful. I have now been with Hastings Direct car insurance for three years, with no problems whatsoever. Although I have not made a claim, I hope I will never have to!

When my car insurance came up for renewal, because of the change in my car, my insurance had increased significantly. Even when I moved to Hastings Direct I could not afford to add my husband onto my policy, as he is a provisional driver, but they quoted me (on my own) a lot less than my previous provider. As it turns out, I have changed my car again. I had no problems at all changing my insurance onto my new car, and I even received a rebate that I was not expecting. I have now been able to add my husband back onto my policy due to the change in vehicle, and I am still paying less than I was last year. Also, whilst I was looking for a new car I rang Hastings Direct several times for quotes on potential vehicles, and they always did this for me with no problems and made me feel as though this was no hassle at all.

Hastings Direct were recommended to me by a friend. I gave them a try and they also offered the cheapest quote, but as with all insurance companies, even though the quote was the best one, it is still expensive for the type of car I drive!!

I have made two claims while I have been with them, and both times my claims were handled efficiently, quickly and with little disruption to myself.

I would definitely recommend Hastings Direct car insurance to others.

I have to say that all motor insurance companies fail customers at some point, but until Hastings Direct blot their copy book with me (and I hope they don't, because their quotes for my turbo diesel estate with legal protection and breakdown cover still comes out cheaper!) I shall stick with them.

I have been with Hastings Direct Car insurance for 3 years and they have always provided competetive rates. The true measure of an insurance company is how they deal with claims. I recently ran over a sheep & damaged the car. I rang Hastings the next day who asked a few simple questions and approved the claim & appointed a repairer there & then. Within the hour, the repairer had rang and aranged for the car to be inspected that day. An appointment was then made for the repair. A courtesy car was offered but I declined & opted for the car to be repaired whilst I was away on holiday. The car was ready & waiting on the appointed day. The repairer even offered to collect & deliver the car.

The only gripe I have is when you need cover for a courtesy car. You have to give full details & have a cover note issued & they only allow 2/year
