“Good service BUT was given wrong information. ”

I used Indigo to hire a car in December. As a 24 year old I was having difficulty doing it myself and they helped find the best rate including the young driver fee. However they told me I could buy the excess insurance cover but when I got to Heathrow Airport to pick up the car I was told by the rental place that they could not insure me as I am a young driver. Good Morning,

I am very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the information you were provided, to be very honest i am very surprised as we are always very clear and ensure our customers are provided accurate information.

If you do not mind i would be very interested to look into this matter further, from reading your review i am unable to see your details so cannot look at your actual car hire booking without further details. Are you able to email me your name and your reservation number so i can look into this.

I do not understand why the car hire company would advise they cannot insure you for the car and then let you take the car, seems very strange. Or are we talking about the excess reduction option? As we do have 2 options, either pay the supplier on arrival or take our excess insurance cover with our 3rd party insurer which is separate to the car hire company. I am just wondering if this is what you were offered instead. Anyway i am just assuming, i of course need some further details from you if you do not mind.

We always want all our customers to be happy with the whole experience, and thrive for excellence each time.

picked the car up at about 11 at night from Gatwick wasn't able to check everything but the car was already hot so had been recently used going up the M23 after 5 miles or so the fuel gauge was going below the full mark very quickly so clearly wasn't full to begin with left message with AVIS the next morning on their support line at my cost 0844 number!!! filled up and returned to East midlands truly full no word from AVIS at all and probably cost me a gallon of fuel … Read Full Review

Thanks for the review, although does not make for great reading - we can see what has happened the customer beforehand clearly filled up the tank some distance from the return location. By using Indigo when booking your vehicle you don't only provide a discounted price but also a high degree of customer service. We are here to resolve things of this nature; we only wish we could have dealt with this for you at the time.

However please confirm your name and rental agreement number and we will happily take this up with Avis for you.

“I did not get a mail confirming my booking I had to...”

I did not get a mail confirming my booking I had to ask for one the day before my pick up. Heathrow is a very big airport and I was told to go to terminal 1/2/3/ or 5 l went to terminal 1 where there was nobody on the desk and had to phone to be told to go to exit wait at no 2 stop a a coach would pick me up- after 15 mins off trying to find B/Stop No.2 I was then taken to outskirts of airport to pick up car and was told which ever terminal I went to the procedure was the same- by the way at… Read Full Review

“Avis car hire”

Having booked a group B car, when i collected the car from Avis i was given a fiat 500, when i questioned this the receptionist said it was from there specialist range (and made me feel that i should be grateful) i think 99% of people arriving at an airport location will have luggage as we did, this car was not big enough for two people and luggage. I fly into liverpool airport approx 8 times a year and always hire a car, but I will not hire from Avis/Budget again… Read Full Review

I am very sorry to hear of the service that you received in terms of the vehicle that was provided to you by Avis, as i agree that the Fiat 500 should not come into the Group B category.

We have also challenged this with Avis who have now changed their policy so that the Fiat 500 has now been placed in their group A category so if you book the Group B vehicle you will not receive the Fiat 500 with Avis/Budget.

“Car hire Aruba”

The meet a greet service was fine with the office right outside the airport entrance.. It was dark so could fully inspect the condition and marks on the car, but agent assured me he had marked them all down. The following morning in the light it exposed many sall scrache and small damage to body work, which was not surprising with the age of the car, at least ten years old. Feedback is always important to us, as this means we can speak to our suppliers to ensure that the service provided is excellent. In regards to the age of the vehicle, this may have been because of the location that you hired the vehicle, as Aruba isn't a peak location for car hire in the world and generally probably a franchisee location. I sincerely apologise for this and will feed this back to the supplier.

Thank you very much for your review, we work with a network of over 550 suppliers overall, we can arrange car hire in Spain with a debit card at selected locations and i am sorry to hear we are unable to help you on this occasion. As you can imagine each supplier has different terms and we need to be sure when we book you a car hire reservation overseas there will not be any problems when you arrive to collect your car. We will always try our best to arrange car hire for you as i know hiring a car with a debit card overseas can be tricky so by Indigo giving customers at least some options helps at the locations we can arrange car hire with a debit card.

Can i ask if you could drop me an email to confirm if you will be travelling alone or with someone else, as if so there may be a way around this. If you could also email me the dates/times and the type of car you are looking for i will re-check with all our suppliers but i cannot promise anything.

“Hire of car for weekend”

I hired a car for Saturday and Sunday one weekend. Generally very happy with the service and how easy the site was to use. Price was initially very competitive which was why I used this site instead of my usual local car hire firm. My one gripe was that I was charged an additional fee of £20 as I was returning the car on Sunday evening. “A complete difference our experience”

We booked a car, via Indigo, for a 2 week period over Christmas and New Year 2010-2011 and could not have been more pleased with the service.
