Arrived day late due to flight restrictions I was told the small car was not available but if I paid additional8€ per day I’d be a car. Turns out to be a small car as originally ordered. Agreed to bring car back at same time 5pm and was then billed for extra day. Have hired cars for 20 years in Greece and never had this. Happen to other traveller I met who hired from Greenmotion. To get additional fees when arrive. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM Get old battered cars also. Dreadful service trying to charg extra constantly. Never again

Absolute shocking service. Rude, ignorant, obnoxious staff. Painfully slow and unprofessional set up. The reasons why prices are low becomes clear when you arrive. You have minimal flexibility on hours of hire, limited inclusive miles per day. you have to valet the car yourself before return, sensible insurance excess is often more than the rental cost! DONT HIRE FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Green Motion: I booked online with Rentalcars.com: On arrival when doing the usual paperwork I was offered for the sum of £20.00 to return the vehicle empty, they told me that the car was half full of fuel: I refused the offer and was told that they could reduce the sum from £20.00 to ten. I then smelt a rat and on checking the vehicle it was empty of fuel. When I complained at the service desk I was told that I did not know how to read the petrol gauge. After a 30 minute wait they agreed that the vehicle was empty: They told me that I would not be charged £10.00 for the fuel, as it was supplied empty of petrol. When I received the credit card statement I was charge ten pounds for fuel. I complained to Rentalcars.com, but they are not going to do anything. Be very careful renting with GreenMotion, check that it has the petrol as stated on there paperwork, check your credit card statement carefully. Good luck

very Long, complex pick up process out of a hotel room. They don't give the car with a full tank, this makes it difficult to give it with the same level of petrol. The insurance is with a third party. It his means that if you have an accident you will still need to pay and get the money back yourself from the insurance. I recommend to avoid this company if you are not an experienced traveller !

The car was excellent, the shuttle bus was excellent and the staff were pleasant. Although this is the first time I have ever received the keys to a hire car from the boot of a van in the car park that was not a problem. What really annoyed me were the requirements listed in the Greenmotion conditions. The terms of hire stated that various mandatory documents must be produced:- a driving licence and credit card is normal and that is what I have always produced for all previous hires with a variety of hirers. Greenmotion also required a credit card statement (!) and a utility bill dated within the last 8 weeks (!!). I receive annual utilty bill statements so that was a problem. I was concerned that I would not be able to get the car - these "mandatory documents caused me some stress - so I brought along another credit card statement and a pension statement. I also had to log in to the Vehicle licencing authority and obtain a code which had to be produced for Greenmotion. When I arrived at the office to pick up the car I only had to produce the driving licence, credit card and code from the DVLA so my concern over correct documents was completely unnecessary. Greenmotion was cheaper than Hertz but for me, the unnecessary complications will be a big deterrant to booking with them again

The office is located offsite in Hilton. Collection is ok but very slow. Handover of car is SLOOOW. Return of car is SLOOOWER. They did seem determined to find a problem with the car when I returned it.

As I was travelling from overseas with my young daughter, I made all the car rental arrangements online before arriving in the UK. The car rental from GreenMotion was easy and straightforward. I would use them again and I would recommend. We were offered an upgrade but we would have been happy with the original request for a smaller economy car. It is a slight inconvenience going to the Hilton instead of the car rental village.

I would never go with this company again, everything was fine lady was very nice car was great, then got home, received an e-mail regarding a fine, which if i had been given the chance would have contested it, the fine was for £40 but instead of given the chance to pay myself, after the e-mail was sent on 30th may they took £96 from my bank on 1st june, so be careful what you sign for even when you had a verbal agreement that you would pay any fines myself, which was the suggestion given.

Don't use green Motion. They try to make you take out extra DAILY insurance against scratches and damage to the car. This doubles he cost of your rental. then they 'find' scuffs, rather than scratches that you didn't notice before. Then they take at least £200 for just one scuff that you can't be sure wasn't there before, and ay have been caused by staff using the cars in between rentals. You are helpless with a plane to catch and a courtesy service to the airport (Stansted) only once every half an hour. Attempts to recoup your charges are met with stonewalling. I will never use this company again, and will warn everyone via tourist e-newsletters, and even the partner airline, flypgs.

There was no delay in picking up the car, although the office was busy. The car was in good condition and I was briefed on 2 or 3 special controls. I had no problems during the hire and the handover at the end went swiftly. Staff were friendly and helpful. I shall return to Greenmotion Stansted.

I have rented cars from Greenmotion before so knew how it works. Young lady in the office was very pleasant and sorted our paperwork very speedily and we were on our way in 20 minutes or so. My only gripe was the grumpy old man who took the car back. Not the best advert for Greenmotion.

No problem at all. Easy to do all the paper with a kind lady. In the parking a professional man explain all about the car.

I have to say I was very happy on collecting the car, the girls in the office were great and entertaining. Bit disappointed to find out that the office wasn't in the airport. I upgraded the car and took the obligatory walk around to make sure everything was fine and I did, as most do, concentrate on the bodywork. However on retuning the car there were two operatives in the car park and the one who gave me the keys on rental almost fell over himself to inspect the car. This should have been my first warning sign. He walked round the car THEN went inside. He accused me of bringing the car back with an empty tank, it was 1/4 and I had paid £25 for 1/2 a tank and was told that I could bring it back empty which clearly it wasn't. He made a note on his little clipboard. He proceeded to walk round the car again and low and behold found damage to the wheel. Now as obvious as the damage was I didn't see it as I thought it was only the body I need to be interested in. He knew I didn't notice this on my preliminary inspection much to his glee and satisfaction, went right to it whereby I was penalised and had to pay over £200 an extortionate amount and way above any estimate. I was well and truly tricked!

I'd got to the shuttle bus ramp 30 seconds too late and watched it disappear, had another half hour wait, this was after Stansted Airport ground left our flight on the ramp unattended for 1/2 hour on a hot and sunny day, so I wasn't in the best of moods. The staff were very pleasant and agreeable and when I was offered an upgrade I was pleased. However, thinking about it later, it was my first time with Greenmotion, so it could be said that they wanted me sweet! I had booked the car on the Ryanair site as part of the flight booking and had booked car (not travel, flight cancellation etc)insurance through the Ryanair site but when I collected the car they claimed to have had no record of my booking insurance! So, because I was having trouble with my French tablet in the UK and couldn't at that moment uplift my original transaction, I was "forced" to take further insurance! Surely, if you gain your business from being linked to another, it's not beyond the remit of computer programming to allow your clients car booking to be flagged up that they had booked insurance at the same time? Or is this yet another marketing ploy? The car itself was a delight, I attempted to give the once over before driving off but the car was dusty so could have hid a myriad of scratches and blemishes and it had been reversed into the abundant hedge growth in the area. And with the failing light due to the aircraft delay it was doubly difficult to view the marks they knew about, let alone find anything else. So, instead of just signing I highlighted on the form that it was a dust covered car checked in poor light and dated and signed that statement as well all the normal othet signatures. Overall the car's performance was beyond praise but, having dealt with slightly dodgy practices in some national car hire companies I was wary! When I handed it back in this morning, the car accepting staff were polite, understanding, efficient and pleasant. As an aside, I'm not too sure if it was a planned bonus by GreenMotion, but, prior to handing it back I had checked through to make sure I hadn't left anything behind, I discovered in the pockets behind the front seats, a tour guide leaflet for Angelsey, (I never went anywhere near Wales, North or South!)an unopened bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and when I had put the rear seats down to take luggage, I discovered an unused packet of 3 Durex Thin Feel! So they were obviously trying to help me pull with the upgradedd car, sweeten her with chocolate before getting down to the dirty deed! So, that is why this review is headed"RECOMMENDED WITH CAUTION"! jUST IN CASE YOU ARE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION!

car was almost new, 3500 miles, clean, only one mirror was damaged but not the mirror glass. Staff was friendly but could have been a Little more friendly. No Problems by getting or bringing back the car.

Never again! Firstly I waited 45 minutes for them to give me the car. In the parking lot I found out that I got the key to the wrong car, which meant more waiting because I had to personally come back to their office to replace keys which resulted with even more delays. The car got hit and was very dirty. charged me 20 pounds half a tank of diesel, and the car was below 1/4 in the tank. We also were charged over 30 pounds for returning a car outside working hours precisely one hour before the opening of the office desk did not tell me when I booked that these costs exist. The key I gave at the hotel reception where is their office and for something like that they charged 30 pounds, and when I asked for someone else to stay with a key to give them directly when they start working they said that this is impossible.

Finally a company that appreciates ones business. I was late on arrival ,due to delayed flight. Greenmotion waited for me to arrive at the rental pick up. Excellent service and car.The pricing reasonable. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Keep up the good work.

Did take the extra insurance and the way things are with car rentals I was pleased I did no extra to pay if there was a scratch and you can bet they would have found one. Did like the extra upgrade OK a extra £5 day but for three days could live with that like the car disliked the wait and I must admit I thought it was a scheme when I first went to the Hilton very strange only a small place and with more than three people waiting they went into melt down. Also not clear was that you do not have to pay the £3 bus journey to the Hilton from airport but!!!!! You must mention this to the bus drive going back fron the Hilton was free. Don't be put off by the returning car to car park were a man in green is waiting for you with full insurance liabibilty you can stick two fingers up to him but if not grovel. Did like Greenmotion.

Interesting, they charged me £25 for 1/2 a tank and then wanted to penalise me for bringing it back with a 1/4 when I was told to return it with an empty tank. I smell a rat!!
