This is 5* no hassle service. Car ready and waiting outside the airport in good fettle and no issues regarding insurance, mileage, fuel etc. Staff extremely helpful and because they live on the island they can tell other important stuff such as (in our case and self catering) where supermarkets, filling stations are etc. Very impressed with the service provided. If you are going to Menorca and need a car this is the company top deal with.

I have used Solcar Menorca many times when I have visited the Island. I highly recommend this company. You can pay cash on arrival if you wish. No need to leave your credit card details. All inclusive means exactly that, there are no hidden extras and insurance is with Collision Damage Waiver included. You may find cheaper but you will not find better. Personally, I would prefer to pay more (and their prices are very competitive) to have a service I can trust and rely on. In my case, I am met at the airport by a very friendly representative from Solcars. A small amount of paperwork & I pay for the car in cash. Extra drivers can be included at no extra cost. Within 10 minutes we are on the road to start our holiday. All I have to do is leave the car in a designated area of the car park, with the keys in the locked boot and home. It is so easy and fuss free. The cars are always clean and in excellent condition. Thankfully, I have never had a breakdown, so have not had experience of it but I have confidence that this company will respond and resolve the problem quickly if the the rest of their service is anything to go by. Looking forward to using them again next year.

My wife and I have used Sol car hire each time we've visited Menorca - 5 times at the last count. I don't think we'd use anyone else - the service we've received has always been thorough, friendly and very good value for money. There are other car hire companies which may look better value at first glance but once you add on the numerous hidden costs - fees for extra drivers to name just one example, Sol cars beats them hands down. Sol cars make it a simple and friendly experience to hire from them, I can't recommend them highly enough.

When looking for car hire I am always worried about the extras, you know the little things like taking €500 on your credit card just in case you have an accident. The extra €49 for a weeks booster seat hire, the €100 fuel charge collect full bring back empty where they charge you €25 extra for administration for this. With Sol Car Hire everything is included, fully comprehensive insurance (no excess) booster seats are free and they only charge you the rate you half a tank of fuel no administration cost for popping into the petrol station 200metres away. Added bonus was a luggage rack (not to be confused with a ladder rack) and straps if needed in the boot. After landing had no waiting around for the agent, as soon as we came out of arrivals we could clearly see the agent with Sol Cars clip board. The agent gave us a map and directed us to the apartment and also the best supermarket to get our provisions before leaving Mahon. The only small problem was the wind noise from the luggage rack but in hinesite they had provided the key to remove it with the car keys. One slight problem locked keys in boot and had to contact them and they were there within 40 minutes with the spare key. Was expecting an administration charge for this but no just a quiet smile probably thinking what an idiot. Was not the cheapest company but booked it in high season within 2 weeks of flying out. Emailed them on a Saturday morning and had a reply within 10minutes (not used to getting quick replies). Like I said no need to worry about anything and with some of the narrow tracks in Menorca and terrible drivers was one thing less to worry about.staff were all English that I spoke too which again was an advantage for me.

After doing some research I decided to try a local menorcan company called Sol cars As this was our first visit to Menorca I was unsure of the road layout and finding our way to to the villa. The girl from Sol cars was ever so helpful. She met us at the airport, we signed the form and packed the car. She then penciled in the route to our resort on our map, then read the directions given by the villa owner and showed us exactly where to find it. She then recommended a few places to visit and where best to park. All in all much better service then any other company I've used. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of going to Menorca, they went out of their way to be helpful. The only minus point was that the car was not a new one, only a couple of years old, but a new one would have been nice. Thank you sol cars.

10 out of 10 The lady at Solcars was very helpful from making the booking on-line to picking it up, nothing was too much trouble. She even made sure I knew the way to out villa, a nice touch. We normally used large national company's but after reading about some of the tricks they use decided to go with a recommendation for a smaller local company, Solcars and I'm glad I did. The touch of personal service and help makes all the difference. Price wasn't the cheapest I'd seen but the price they quoted was exactly what I paid, no ins excess or little extras added once you pick the car up. All in all I will use them again.
