I have used Drivalia quite a few times since they started their operation in Palma. We travel to Majorca around 3 times a year and have used various companies over the years. Some, such as Goldcar, we avoid. Since we started using Drivalia they have become our preferred rental company, even if they aren't always the cheapest, because we feel we won't be ripped off. There is usually a wait for the off-airport shuttle, but when you see some of the queues at the on-airport desks you realise you'll be driving before some of the people in these queues are anywhere near the front. Inevitably, as with every car rental company I've ever used, collecting the car seems to be a long process. Like all rental companies they try to sell you their excess insurance cover but when I explain I have had an annual policy for years they are far less pushy than some of the others. They do require you to examine the car very carefully for existing damage/blemishes but they don't try to hide anything and within laid-down parameters they don't try to charge you for tiny blemishes. The cars have always been spotless on collection and the return process quite smooth. I'm about to look for a car for April, so let's hope Drivalia live up to expectations!

Whilst our most popular package is our all-inclusive option, we do take a pride in the transparency of our processes, especially in terms of damages, for customers who choose the more basic rental option. Sadly, if any damages do occur we are usually faced with complaints or publicity claiming all kinds of things such as "the damage was already there" but as you quite rightly state, we give a very comprehensive damage report so that you can check the car and satisfy yourself as to the condition before you take the car away from the office. This system is in place to offer real peace of mind to all of our customers and to make the processes clear, honest and transparent.
