Left me stranded with my children in Orlando!!

Left me completely stranded in Orlando with my wife and children. Did not book a vehicle on my behalf with the local company. Instructed me on the phone to hire another vehicle at there cost. Have refused to give me the recording, have told me it’s my fault and there was a car available (there wasn’t) currently in the process of taking them to court to recover my costs. Thankfully I have recorded them admitting full liability on my iPhone during one of my calls. Absolute clowns, avoid like the plague!!!!!!

Misleading pricing and zero customer service when things went wrong

I was asked to pay extra at the counter( on my booking was free 1st addictional driver , but it wasn't in the rental system I phone VIP customer service sait to me pay) VIPCars assured me I’d be reimbursed — it never happened. No proper follow-up or refund.

dont rent with third companies go direct to the rental company direct. and dont rent ever with driv

i rented a car with drivilia at manchester airport. i paid a deposit to vipcars to make sure we would have this car. we flew 12 hours and when we arrived a little late we called the car rental, to let them know. when we arrived at the car rental facility they told us the car was anceled as we were too late. they did "however" " somehow" had the same car for 200 pounds more expensife. i called viopcards and they were not helpfull. they did not help us. the car rental company took advantage of stranded poeple. vip cars did NOTHING to help us eventhough they were the company we had booked by. we eneded paying 200 pounds more with a terrible company. dont ever book through vip cars just go direct to the rental company. you dont save monye. it just seems you save money and even after i complained, they were not intrested to make this good, they were rather in denial, that they lied that i was late. eventohough i contacted the company well before teh hou is over. whom doesnt know airlines can be delayed. the car was there and they took advantage of us. there were three more elderly poeple they took advantage off

Blamed the customer for their own incompetence

Rented a car through vip cars. On landing at the airport the 3rd party hire company used by VIP cars had already cancelled my booking due to no cars available as they had over booked. Ultimately this went from a £150 rental (I had paid a £10 deposit) to a £360 rental as I needed to use another hire company. On speaking to VIP cars they blamed me for not arriving within an hour of the booking, even though I was potentially there earlier but definitely no later than an hour due to slow passport control. So no booking refund and certainly no offer of compensation for the additional cost of £210 for hiring. V poor!

TO AVOID !

I booked through this website, biggest mistake.

I booked for a SUV or equivalent.

When I arrived at the agency, I was forced to pay for an insurance 150€ (my booking was around 130€ so the insurance was even more expensive) otherwise I couldn’t have the car. This insurance was never mentioned before or even in the contract !

I had already my full insurance.

In the end, I had no choice than paying for it.

Maybe, it was because they didn’t give me a SUV but a rubbish car, completely not fit to ride. They clearly put my life in danger when I discovered all the sounds, the brakes barely working (in a mountain island)

To conclude, if you want to die with empty pockets, go for it !

I was late picking my car up due to severe weather in Scotland.

I called the customer service centre and the agent was excellent.

She emailed National cars to inform them of my late pick up.
