Are Sixt just the broker or the actual car hire company? I hate brokers such as Argus or Rentalcars.

I know what you mean. They are the actual rental company, not brokers.

They are definitely a car rental company, you pick your rental car up from their SIXT depot/office, and I have always been able to select the exact vehicle I wanted.

Sixt are the actual car hire company and just for your information, I had a pleasant and problem free experience with them.
