Great Price, Not even £30 for 10 day car hire. If you're 100% confident on the Barcelona Rds then don't upgrade the insurance or else you'll pay nearly £200. Great reliable car, as advised when booking not guaranteed the same car but the same size. For me the car I got was better even though it wasn't washed I didn't care, it was full of fuel and ready to go. Queued for nearly 2 hours though which was a nightmare and staff were friendly and apologetic. Their system doesn't work efficiently. It can't be like that always so i would use them again. Remember to go out at arrivals go left and back in under the bridge as directions are blocked by a wall!

Be Aware, they don't tell you they use plate pass for the toll roads. the toll is 4.95 a day and it doesn't matter if you use the toll road every day, once you go on the toll road you will be charge 4.95 each day you have the rental car plus a $25 charge just for entering "the toll road". SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT BEING UPFRONT WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS AND burying this deep in your contract.

Arrived late a Valencia airport firefly stayed late to deliver cars for which they charged 33 euros for outside hours already advised of this no problem . Hired a 4 door corsa or similar. On arrival was presented with fiat 500 not impressed only 2 door and had to fold back seat down to fit the luggage in. If we had had children of 3rd passenger would never have got everyone and luggage in . Since when is a 2 door car in the same category as a 4 door car

Back in May 2014 my husband and I used Firefly Reservations at the Ft. Lauderdale location. The reservation was made through the 800 # since no one answers at the actual location in Ft. Lauderdale. We understood why when the shuttle dropped us off for the car rental. The staff was standing around talking and so unprofessional. In addition to this, the 800# failed to mention a $200 hold would apply for the car rental. I know most places do require this however this information is disclosed up front. We requested to speak to the Manager who was not very cooperative. Please make sure you inquire up front about any additional charges and do not expect a professional staff.

We arrived in the Las Vegas Firefly Car Rental line around 12:15. At the time there were two agents at the counter checking everyone in. There were about 15 others ahead of us at this time. There was a couple at the counter with one agent and a man with another agent. One and a half hours later we were in the same spot with the same two agents helping the same customers. There were several customers that left the line and went to other car companies due to the length of time we stood! Behind us were about 30 others that had joined the line as they entered the building. Little did they know what was in store for them! I don't care what the savings is, NEVER will we rent from this company. When we finally reached an agent, he was not at all friendly and never looked up at us. Customer Service is below average, And I can see why...dealing with an endless number of customers and listening to the complaints from customers standing in line for what seemed an eternity. The manager came out once and looked around and then went back behind closed petition. Returning was not clear as to location being next to the Dollar return lane. So had to go around again which got us past the time by 15 minutes and that can cost another hour rate! If you have nothing better to do than stand in line for hours to get your car at a value rate, be prepared to do just that in Las Vegas! Look again at rate versus other companies and decide what is more important to you! Time/Value Exhausted just thinking about our experience.......

Car depot not on airport site. Very, very difficult to find transfer bus on arrival - depot several kilometres off site. Staff nonchalant – that is being polite. Acquaint yourself on car hire procedures and local rules of the road. Make sure you look around the car for any prior damage. Toilets are appalling. Car clean but breaks shuddered. Make note of how full the tank is before leaving depot. Depot very difficult to find when returning vehicle. Advise - if you have GPS put location co-ordinates before leaving depot as Google will direct you to same name road in centre of Rome. Recommendations to Firefly: Clean the toilets. Give customers a detailed map of where to find the depot when returning car. On booking – give arriving customers a detailed map where to find the pick-up bus at airport.

Firefly was the name of the hire company in faro Portugal. Everything was fine until I returned the car and was issued with an invoice including 18.45 euros for the toll machine fitted to the car, 3.66 euros for paying by credit card and, wait for it, 7.38 for CLEANING THE CAR!!!!!! Might be cheap initially but with the fuel and these "added hidden costs" made it expensive, make sure you read the terms and conditions clearly....cheers

When we initially got the car it was ok inside but not spotless and had dents and scratches almost all round. I took photos of all side just to make sure we werent charged for any existing damage, did the paperwork and left. After 2 weeks of running around and going back and fore to the beach the car was sandy inside and I did expect to pay extra but I think €74 was a bit kuch for hoovering out the inside. When returning the car the agent spent the entire time on the phone and complaining about the sand inside which I had apologised for and was paying grudgingly over the odds for cleaning. Once done here the back door of the van was opened and my wife and I left to load all luggage car seats and kids, driven to the airport and he then sat in the van while we got out and unloaded without getting out or saying a word. We were kind of left feeling like we had been treated as a necessary evil so woild not recommend Firefly to anyone traveling to Sardinia.

We booked a car for a trip from Madrid for a good price through Auto Europe and got a voucher for Advantage. When we arrived at the airport we found they had been re-branded as Firefly (but still part of Hertz group). Service at the airport was o.k. but we realized sometime later that the charge for a full tank of fuel was pretty high when we got around to checking how much fuel the vehicle actually held. There was also VAT charged on top of the inflated fuel price. The car had a few scratches and scuffs so be sure to point these out before you take responsibility. We covered around 1,000km in six days and the car drove well enough during that time. We may use Firefly again but I will be sure to check the extra charges very carefully.

Yes. Their rep at Murcia explained that it is a service charge for refuelling the car.
However if you return it full....they still charge you!
