I had previously posted a 5 star review, as Easirent do "lure you in" with an incredibly responsive and personable booking process, and what seems to be an incredible rate... the catch though, is your "after experience" - i.e. when returning your car, you will get fleeced for damage not caused by you... sure enough, it is the renter's responsibility to check for damage at the outset, but some damage (in my case a slight bulge in a tyre) is not visible, you have to feel it... and when you have a baby, and it's dark and minus 3 degrees at pick up (with a pen torch) this is hard to spot. Very unprofessional and immoral business practice. If you look on Companies House, you can see that ER Travel Services Limited's (the company trading as Easirent) turnover increased from £13m to £20m (profit increased also)... so these sharp business practices are clearly paying off... at the expense of basic human morality. Avoid at all costs. Trading Standards need to be made aware. I just hope the person before / after me wasn't also charged £250 for a new tyre - you can see how it becomes easy to make £1,000+ from one tyre, which costs no more than £50!! Based on the fact that Easirent make you write a review to add an additional driver for free (which is before you get fleeced) I suspect most of the 4/5 star ratings would be revised to 1 star, but most people don't revisit their rating... so please take the 4/5 star ratings of Easirent with a large pinch of salt! Please be very careful if you have already booked with this firm, but are yet to check your car back in... enough said!

PS the ratings referred to in this post above relate to Trustpilot - it's very crafty of Easirent to force a review out of you (to add an additional driver) before you have been ripped off... and then a lot of people don't revise their rating! Would be interesting if they did....
