Centauro is the most disappointing rental car company I ever had to deal with, and I rent cars worldwide almost on weekly basis for my business trips.

My flight to Palma de Mallorca, Spain (flight number FR1580 on the 17.06.2022) was delayed by over 60'; we landed at 23:15 instead of 22:00.

The Centauro offices closes at 23:00.

The rental company had my contact details (phone and email address) as well as my flight number, therefore the are aware of my expected landing time.

As I landed in Spain no one from Centauro tried to contact me neither by email nor phone.

Unlike all the other rental companies, Centauro offices are not located within the airport but rather at several kms from the it, and the shuttles service they provide is no longer available at that time.

For approximately 45 minutes I tried to connect with the company using all the phone numbers I managed to retrieve on the internet.

No customer service at all is available at that time.

Eventually I had to rent another car from Sixt (which, unlike Centauro, was still open and within the airport) to get to my hotel, planning to return the car the morning after and get back to Centauro to claim my reservation, expecting some sort of apologies.

The next morning, when I finally manage to speak with a Centauro supervisor, I was informed that my reservation is now identified as NO SHOW, and therefore it cannot be claimed anymore.

I then reply very calmly "That's fine, if I can't have the car I reserved just give me any car you have available now".

He then made more clear to me that they are not going to honor my reservation, neither I will receive a refund for the prepayment of almost 300EUR that i placed.

They are only "offer" to make a new reservation from scratch, even without providing any kind of discounts of sorts.

As I couldn't believe it, I wanted to make sure he was aware I couldn't possibly be physically there the evening before as I was still on a plane that was delayed; also I asked him to confirm they indeed have all my information, including my flight number.

He confirmed all of the above, nevertheless he was adamant on his position, hiding behind the excuse that the system would not allow him to make any changes.

I was there with my wife and my 2 years old daughter, with an outside temperature of 35C degrees and I just couldn't believe it.

I left explaining I could not possibly accept this behaviour and would have gone back to Sixt to make a new reservation.

It's not over.

As I tried to get back on the shuttle to go back to the airport, the driver prevent me to hop on it, claiming this is reserved to Centauro clients.

I had to call a Taxi.
