I was rented a car in Lisbon. Returning from the Algarve to Lisbon, I left 6 hours before the scheduled flight. There was a shot of the tire. I could not replace it myself because I noticed that my car is without a spare wheel and a repair kit.
The Centauro emergency phone did not answer. From the moment they were picked up I expected a total of 4 hours, with my family in the heat and without water on the side of the highway.
When the taxi arrived Centauro decided to go to Faro, instead of to Lisbon despite I informed that I have a flight from Lisbon.
I had to pay a taxi to Lisbon (300 Euro) myself. Finally, we were too late for the plane and I had to buy new tickets (1100 Euro).
In addition, Centauro charged me with borrowing costs by 3 days longer than my contract, although the car was already with them and they did not return the deposit for fuel, even though they took the car with a full tank, as the contract provided.
And so my family experienced very bad moments during the holidays, and I incurred a huge cost. If I knew that Centauro's help looked like that, I would have ordered help and a taxi straight away. Renting a car without a spare wheel can ruin your holiday!
I filed a complaint with Centauro and I am waiting for its happy consideration. Then I can increase the rating.
