I recently had the misfortune to hire a budget car thro avis,on returning home I found that I had a charge taken from my card after I left the island(gran canaria).I was told it was arefuelling charge despite the fact I had filled up at airport 100mt from car hire depot as requested.Two weeks later I had 2 further amounts taken for which I have been given no explanation.The company took 4 weeks to respond to complaint and still 9weeks after my return have not given me any answers.I would recommend that you should not use this hire company.
