We purchased a Golf from these people back in Spetember. I had my doubts abnout the new MOT that was given on the vehicle, however we went ahead. My gut feeling was right and several problems have arised. As many other reviews have said, they refused to accept any fault despite me advising them of their obligations under the sales of goods act. I took legal action and upto the point where bailiffs are going out, however I took action againts ss autos which now appears wrong too! Very sly and very frustrating. Stay away

Note they have changed the company name to 2nd City Motors. These guys will try and sell you a car with lots of faults on, if you complain they will try the cheapest repairs of the fault you have found. If you buy from them expect a large bill, and a prolonged court case to get any compensation. Ensure you know your rights and take it all the way. Like others I am having to take them to court for £2k of faults on my vehicle.

I bought an Audi A3 Sport TDI in Dec 2014 I was lied to from the start.They said there was nothing wrong with the car expect for the light on dash which was just the battery needed charging.(WRONG) After taking it to a Garage and the RAC it was dignosed with the following faults. Glow Plugs,Body Throttle,Steering Rack and also Head Gasket. The car was sent back and they said there is nothing wrong with it just put new Glow Plugs in and some new oil. I asked for my money back but they said NO,I was told to pick up car or they will inpound it, so I had no choice. I wrote to them 3 times with no reply, I am now in the process of taking them to court. Please Please Avoid them at all cost.

Purchased my Audi S3 from these guys a few months ago and have to say car was described down to the T. Did mention to the guys I had read the reviews prior to travelling and was told the reviews are from part exchanges which were all sold under £1000. In essence you get what you pay for. Overall a good experience buying my pride and joy from s.s cars. Thanks a million guys

If you want to buy a car that is bodged I would recommend! They are money grabbers that sell bodged cars as I found out after a warning light came on after 1 weekand I took it to my mechanic who then found out that alot of things had been messed with and bodged!

sound lads they have got 7 bad reviews but overall they must turn over a lot of cars I'm not saying it's good but 7 bad reviews are not much compared to the amount of sales they do but they should see to the complaints in a professional manner.my car I purchased was bang on but I did check it properly

Bought a car . It was too dangerous to drive and a total junk . Took them to court . They did not respond to court as well . Hope they go to jail soon . 

Ss car sales Birmingham,if you want to save yourself a lot of money steer well clear of this company.Once they have your money and driven away from their premises you are on your own.If anything goes wrong as did it did in my case,they just don't want to know.You get excuses like it's wear and tear or it was alright when it left here.so much for after sales service.After reading lots of customer reviews it appears others have had a similar experience too me if not worse in some cases.

S.S Cars on Stanhope Street Birmingham sold me a car. I had it checked over by Halfords the next day who told me it was in a dangerous condition. Only 3 brakes working - those that were had very worn pads. Faulty suspension and faulty steering rack. All tyres illegal and various other problems which weren't apparent to the layman buyer. Cost of £1600 to repair to MOT standard. Took advice from Trading Standards who told me I should reject the car under the Sale of Goods Act and request a refund. The dealer refused, instead offering to pay 50% towards essential repair costs at their own garage. Clearly i don'y trust them to do this. They shouldn't have sold a defective car in the first place. I know its second hand, but it should at least be road legal. Its now going to Court

STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF. You shouldn't buy a chocolate bar off. Service is terrible. Cars are terrible. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND CEASE TRADING!!!!!!

I brought a car in March from them for £1800. Within 6 weeks the engine management light came on and when I contacted them I was fobbed off! Eventually they sent my car to their garage in small heath who had my car for a further 5 weeks claiming problems with engine. I was told to go through the warranty however they wouldnt pay out as problems with the read odometer said id drove 7000 miles in the 6 weeks I had the car! Dealership refused to refund me and pay the repairs. I paid 500 to their nominated garage only to drive away and 2 hours later have the light back on and same problems! Cannot get my money back or a replacement car. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I was informed by the repairing garagethat SSCarSales rregularly put back mileage clocks in cars to avaoid warranty costs and deliver false MOTs. Im persuing through trading standards and small claims court!

I went with my daughter to buy a car to be used for my grandson. They sold us a death trap after promising to MOT the car and fix any minor issues. We have since reported this company previously trading under the name Letsbuyacar.com Ltd, to Trading Standards. They also sell warranties and when you make contact are recommended to their own mechanics to fix your car and they are also the guarantors' and owners of the warranty. Work that one out. GIVE THESE COMPANIES A WIDE BERTH. I would like to give zero stars but no facility to do this

I bought a car from s s car sale's for £2795 they told us it was a great car and if it was'nt they would return our money, so we bought it. three hours later the car broke down and we got it back to them with NO REFUND, also treated us very poorly like dirt infact. They said the car can be fixed and would deliver it to us as we were one hour away from them (guess what no delivery) another lie now we are seeking legal advice and going to contact trading standards as the car is not safe for us to drive.DON'T BUY FROM THESE CONMEN.
