Contacted the dealer and explained that I was interested in the car if it was as advertised and there were no major faults, also explained I had to negotiate by phone as I would traveling from Northern Ireland to UK so couldn't afford to spend money just to view a car. Dealer said that the photos were accurate and all information was correct so we eventually agreed on a sale price. As I couldn’t collect the car for a few days I then gave a deposit of 500 for him to hold the car. I then booked a flight over and ferry return to pick up the car costing 200 in total. When I arrived the mileage on the car was more than the advertised amount, he insisted I had a made a mistake and showed me a copy of the ad. Additionally one of the wing mirrors isn’t electric as it has been glued on. He said this was also in the ad. As I had already given a deposit and committed 200 in flight and ferry I took the car anyway. When I got home and looked at my saved copy of the ad I found he had lied and that the mileage was advertised as 100,000 not the 108,00 that was on the clock, and there was no mention of one wing mirror being fixed and not electric. Had the dealer told me up front the true mileage I would never have booked a flight or given a deposit, not only did he lie to me over the phone, he then lied to me when I was there to pick up the car and convinced me I had made a mistake. He even showed me a copy of the ad on the webpage, I realised when i got home and looked at my saved copy that he must have waited for mthe deposit and trhen changed the ad. Additionally since driving the car the power steering has failed, the steering lock gets stuck and is very difficult to take off, the boot sometimes opens by accident and the drivers seatbelt is very difficult to close. All in all i would not recommend buying a car from this dealer.
