Like others i am frustrated about the lack of refund option with the recent cancellations. I completely understand that things have to be cancelled and can't fault the company for that but now i have to try rebook something, the only other time off i have this year is in July and if thats also cancelled they'll basically be keeping my money for a year until can book something next year. Absolutely disgusted with this should just be able to get a refund, this was my first booking with this company and seeing how they treat customers now it will certainly be my last!

My husband and I have gone many tours with Caledonian and they have all been great value for money. On Nov 20 we want to York Fayre and Leeds and I want to give driver a big recommendation. He went beyond his duties to make it a good trip for everyone. There was no e and there was no entertainment in the hotel but he arranged entertainment for us himself giving his own time. He organised bingo, and a quiz and another game. He did this on 2 nights and the trip would have been boring if it were not for him. He was also funny and friendly and everyone liked him.

Last week we went to Southport with Caledonian travel to the scarbrick hotel great position but horrible hotel food same every day beds were like sleeping on springs I complained about it they said no spares so gave me a duvet to put under bottom sheet, the hotel was dirty and floor boards had holes covered up by carpet that was old and worn and sticky. Caledonian travel should not be sending there customers to this hotel it wasted our holiday, Southport is a lovely resort it’s worth while going there but not to this hotel

increasingly discriminating against single travellers. starting to charge£15 a night supplement for run of the mill hotels.pure greed

Went on the rod Stewart tribute bus tour to Liverpool Adelphi hotel on sun 25th nov 2018,driver was amazing,nothing too much bother for him,picked up exactly on time,very good journey there and back with plenty of stops,very nice driver,would 100% use this company again,can’t praise him highly enough!!he pointed out places to go in Liverpool,and had loads of interesting facts,such a nice man

Went to Isle of Wight with friend for 5 days. The bus journey there was 12 house but did not seem like this as we had a few stops and driver very informative and attentive. On day 2 we had a trip to visit 3 different places and the time just seemed to fly in. We left at 9.30 a.m. and did not return till 5.30 p.m. so it was a full day out and very very good. Day 3 was free and we went on a cruise to Portsmouth Naval Dockyard to see the new aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth which is majestic. On day 4 we had another trip visiting 3 different places and the Needles was especially good well worth a visit. The hotel they booked us into the Burlington Hotel, Sandown, was very very good. All in all the trip was well worth the money and would not hesitate to recommend Caledonian Travel and their service is first class. I would mention this was our second trip and was every bit as good as our first trip with Caledonian Travel.

brilliant 4 days in the peak district staying at the Britannia Didsbury country house hotel, which was immaculate ,rooms were very clean and spacious ,only negative is the height of the bath and could do with a hand grip .Food was good and there was always a great choice and nice and hot .Our driver did an excellent job even when she had to deal with some tricky traffic maneuvers where she handled the situation calmly and with great skill .We would certainly recommend this trip to friends and family and would request the same driver again if possible.

Trip to Scarborough with Walter. Driver excellent, destinations excellent, hotel cleanliness very poor.

They have a cheek to take money from people, to put them into the disgusting ,run down Britannia Hotels. Time the tourist boards, looked into all the bus tours in the U K, and inspected the hotels, and disgusting food served, and as it is mostly elderly people traveling,we are not prepared to accept those standards, so stop treating us like non class people.

Unprofessional from start to finish with some drivers on feeder coaches not at all friendly.our main coach driver during our stay was rude on 3 occasions to me and other people were the same.excursions were good and hotel fine.the ibis hotel in France is ok but food inedible.i honestly think a good few but not all of your drivers need to go on a customer care course.all in all I enjoyed Diano Marino and the excursions.pity about your drivers.

Had to put what I consider to be a fairly serious complaint to Caledonian Travel about my stay at Seascape Hotel in Torquay in late July (see separate tripadvisor review 28/9/17 re stay on 29/7/17) . Was most disappointed with reply. 1. Caledonian do not acknowledge receipt of written/posted complaints. 2. It took a phone call to confirm they received my complaint and another to gee it along a bit. You only get to speak to call handler who knows little about complaints. It took them over a month to reply. 3. Caledonian reply apologised and also forwarded my complaint to hotel. I feel they should have done more e.g. solicited a reply from hotel. I also feel I should have been entitled to compensation for my holiday being spoiled but Caledonian conveniently overlooked this part of my letter. To be honest I felt Caledonian letter was more like an advertisement for their company and how careful they are in selecting hotels (NOT in my opinion, I've always found the hotels they use to be generally old and worn and in need of refurbishment). I really should be writing back to them but this would almost certainly lead to more frustration and trauma. So folk beware of these aspects if you are considering complaining to Caledonian travel.

Hotel astoria is a dump dirty rude staff food inedible free bar a joke ostend is lovely you should use a better class hotel it would warrant paying extra. To top it all a women wasn't down in time for departure so she was left in ostend and to my knowledge is still stranded there shocking driver didn't even give her 15 mins to get ready hopefully she's got spare money to get home and doesn't need medication or gets attacked or anything

BEWARE - total misrepresentation of trip you book. Booked a trip to supposedly Oban, Mull & Iona. Had checked out website and stated hotel was in Oban with trip to Inverary etc. Went to discuss with family came back to website and booked it. Then when went on the trip discovered we were going to FORT WILLIAM over an hour away. Hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Didn't want to travel this distance either. On contacting travel company on our return they said they hadn't done anything wrong it quite clearly stated hotel had been changed to hotel in Fort William so our fault for not reading the details why would we think the hotel had been changed. REALLY since when did Oban, Mull & Iona become Fort William CHANGE THE NAME OF THE TRIP THEN TO FORT WILLIAM. SHOCKING. Moral of story don't use them or definitely don't book via their website because apparently if I had booked over the phone I would have been told this!!!

I booked some months ago to travel to Torquay in August. About 3 weeks ago I received notification that there was a dispute with hotel and that tour would not go ahead. I accepted Isle of Wight as alternative. This afternoon I received a telephone call to say that Isle of Wight tour also cancelled (due to insufficient bookings) The alternative offered is Llandudno - take it or leave it!! I HATE Llandudno!! Not good customer service.

My husband and I went to Chester Races with Caledonian travel on 27th May 2017. The coach was new clean and tidy and the Driver was excellent what a lovely young man, even though we got in a traffic jam on the way to Chester he got us there in time for the first race. The accommondation at the Daresbury Park Hotel was good,room clean and tidy, found nothing wrong with the food. On the way home we stopped off at Liverpool for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat. We had a great weekend. J Howitt

Fantastic trip again with Caledonian Coach tours to Brighton, 03/04/17. My grandson and I had a great time, great value for money. Included trips and ticket on the Brighton 1 Airways experience. Hotel was great, as was staff and hospitality. A lot to do in Brighton for everyone. Driver was great and very helpful. Met lovely people on tour. Took a day trip to London from Brighton, easy journey and worth the trip. Nothing to complain about. Room was lovely.
