Travis Perkins

I would give less stars if I could, but I have to leave at least one. Travis Perkins have trickeded us out of nearly £3k through either incompetence or negligence. Items that we PURCHASED were continually invoiced for hire. When our office picked this up and brought it Travis Perkins attention it took them 8 months to look into - during which time they continued to generate further invoices for said items, sent threatening messages for payment, and eventually froze our account. They have not offered any refund and have now closed the inquiry. We are a small family business and this has cost us dearly in an already difficult time.

If you choose to use them please make sure you are handed paperwork for your order and check it is correct before you leave! Conveniently for Travis Perkins we were not given paperwork for our transaction - only the person who off hired the items for purchase to us knows why. We have been left with no proof, nothing we can take to court. This is not the first time mistakes have happened. Regularly hired items have been over hired - invoicing us for longer than we have had the items. I hate to think how many times these have slipped through the net and not been picked up.

I would avoid at all costs. We certainly won't be using them ever again!

WOW so grumpy in travis perkins newhaven, been in there at least 5 times this year and a few people I know have had the same grumpy treatment, but the last time more than ever. I wasnt too sure what size a certain bit of wood was so I asked him what size is nearest "well I dont know" he replied, "well could you give me the nearest size or an idea" I said, huffing and puffing "youll have to go in the yard and measure it", he really didnt want to help, I just said "forget it mate cheers for your help" then after odering other things my bill came to £104 I only had a £100 on me (prices all shot up again) so I told the guy im gonna have to have 1 less bit of wood, he slammed the pc keyboard shouting really loud "for fak sake" swearing and slamming paperwork, getting all intimidating and mouthy in front of all the builders, but as always the delivery guys are very helpful, nice, wont be using TP again

Due to a disability I am unable to unload building materials when they are delivered.

I explained this to the manager before placing my order and he said that it would not be a problem.

(Other companies just wanted to leave my materials out in the rain at the end of my footpath.)

The delivery date came. I was telephoned half an hour before delivery. An excellent delivery driver unloaded my materials and placed them to my exact requirements. Perfect.

Without these people I could not have had my building works completed.

Fantastic customer service. No stress. Everything was simple, easy and straightforward.

I would recommend this company to anyone.
