After 5 hours of waiting and false promises and then wanting me to wait at least another 3 hours for a recovery vehicle I cancelled and sorted the recovery through my own sources the following day. I made a written complaint and only received polite lip service but no action or compensation. I recommend people to call local garages to come to rescue you instead of RAC as they do not have enough vehicles and mechanics but plenty of customer service personnel to give insincere apologies! To expect anyone to wait more than 2 hours is both unacceptable and inhumane!
