“Poor boiler and design”

★☆☆☆☆

This boiler has no divertor valve so if the heatings been on and then we open a hot tap we het a gluge off water that's very very hot and can burn you.
Also not a very nice looking boiler as well.
After being told the Main heat exchanger water ways are so big that it'll never block or scale up yeah you guessed it my one scaled up.
And now Intergas specify a water softener should be fitted.
Not very impressed with the boiler or back up service.

No diverter valve is great, I’m always having to repair diverters.

Hot slug of water is down to a lack of a fine tuning.

Since when did a boiler look attractive? They’re pretty much all a white box.

Water Softener must be installed as per Part L of the Building Regulations if the water hardness is over 200ppm.

All Combi boilers send a slug of hot water to the tap if the heating has been in use because the heating operates at 70 degrees and hot water demand is only around 55 degrees. Just run the hot water until it is safe, around 20 seconds.
As for the heat exchanger becoming limescaled, all modern Combination boilers should have adequate limescale protection in hard water areas.
So the issues are not just Intergas borne, but across the whole industry.
