“Replacement for Stolen Bike”

Wheelies were acting on behalf of my insurance company who authorised a replacement e-bike. They were quick and efficient. The range of bikes to chose from was substantial and the replacement bike was delivered promptly.. I was telephoned by the staff on several occasions to follow up my case and would be able to recommend them if asked by my friends.

Quality and choice is excellent. However, I ordered multiple items , most on 1-2 day delivery except one £5 item that was on 5-6 day delivery. The whole shipment we originally going to be held up by the single 5-6 day delivery item. I contacted wheelies and challenged them on their delivery and they promptly offered an alternative date for delivery.

“Replacement bike”

I am hard of hearing and tend to guess what people say on the phone. Unfortunately most communication was by phone. I did give an Email address but somehow Wheelies spelt it wrong so their Email failed to reach me. I asked my wife to step in and help but they would not speak to her at first. The replacement arrived as planned and set up to ride straight away once the handle bars and seat height were set in accordance with the instructions provided (tools were also provided to do this work).

Had to chase contact through my insurance company but once I was put through the service I received was good. The staff I spoke to were really helpful, professional and so easy to deal with, whether by phone, text or email. I made my selections online and as the bike I chose would not be in stock for another couple of weeks they left me a phone message and followed it up by e-mail to ask if I was happy with that or wanted to change my selection. Their website did clearly state the date the bike would be in stock, so all info was available at the time of ordering.

replacing a stolen bike. Insurance company organised a voucher to like-for-like replacement from Wheelies. would have preferred to purchase bike from original local bike store. however,......... voucher arrived promptly by email. was easy to find the replacement model on the website and very easy to apply voucher code. now, I await delivery. WILL it arrive like-for-like? i.e. properly set up and ready to ride, or will it be a flat pack which I would prefer professionals to set up?

Having had my bike stolen, I was directed to the website by the insurers. I am happy to say that it is made so easy to navigate and explore different options. I was able to order my replacement and was contacted immediately with a receipt and a link to track my order. I will keep this company in mind whenever I need new parts of items as I feel confident in their service. By the way I gave four stars only because my bike is in transit and I am keeping that one star back until I have the bike!

Having had my Brompton stolen I was given a Halfords voucher for a replacement. Halfords do not do Bromptons - Emailed Wheelies - apparently I can use voucher in Cycle Republic. Went to Cycle Republic web site - voucher didn't work - emailed wheelies - I have to go to shop in person to redeem voucher. Once all this was sorted out, I had my replacement bike in less than a week. While it was initially confusing, wheelies did respond very quickly to my emails.

Excellent service, bike received perfectly on time. The 4 star score was due the the finance service. I was offered interest free credit and opted for this, why not it made sense. The process was ridiculously overbearing and in the end I abandoned it and just paid up

The staff were very polite and helpful, and have helped me when I struggled with a complex order on the web site. I think extra filters on the web site would help, instead of trawling through every individual bike, it would be great to filter simple things like the frame size. Overall, very good, with some room to improve and get even better.

Had to wait for over two weeks, especially when told bike would be delivered on a wednesday, was finally delivered the wednesday the week after... But i must say when bike+xtras were finally delivered all was good, nicely set up gears, breaks etc as expected. So apart from the wait which i found too long for my taste, especially when i use my bike to commute, the product itself was well set up and in good order no complaint. That was an insurance job hope it helps.
