“Not Great Better Off Stick With Amazon or Ebay”

1. The nagging email was sent to me before I'd even bought anything asking to leave a review. Too early, clearly automated and not well thought out. 2. I was forced into using Wheelies via my insurance claim, wouldn't have chosen otherwise. 3. My voucher was a one off voucher. If I didn't use it all up on the first checkout I couldn't use any remainder to get my full values worth. Most other websites allow you to do this e.g. Amazon. Not much, but missed out on £5. 4. “Insurance replacement”

My bike was stolen which was very irritating. The insurance voucher was processed fast but to convert it to cash came at a penalty of 20% which is really steep. I ended up finding a reasonable match for my bike but then when trying to find accessories (replacement lights and locks etc) they will not price match for insurance vouchers - complete piracy. Also this is a sister site for TREDZ where a lot of items are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper but they will not match them and the voucher is not valid… Read Full Review

I placed a significant order. Got confirmation that my order had been placed, then nothing. I eventually called, to be told they are waiting for stock, and some stock wont arrive - I need to choose an alternative. I asked - 'when would I be told this'... I suppose it's a matter of expectations. I insured my bike for £300 and hoped I'd be able to get that money and spend as I wished when my bike was stolen. Excellent,helpful,knowledgeable and patient call centre staff.Improvements in explaining how the voucher works in the confirmation email would be very easy to make and stop any confusion i.e. "the voucher does not have to be used all at once",also if I do not spend the full amount of the voucher at once I should not have to "claim" for the rest but should be able to use the balance in a similar way to using a credit card.If I know the bike/parts I want why cannot the staff take that order I may… Read Full Review

Impressed with the speed my stolen bike was validated and that I received my voucher the same day. However I get the impression that Wheelies only supply off the peg standard machines. The service to make an insurance claim and obtain a replacement bike certificate was quick and excellent. The length of time on the phones was short and the replacement certificate was generous and refunded the cost of my bike new even though it was 18 months old. The problem was with redeeming the cerficate with Halfords. The Halfords website continually crashed and refused to take the voucher code I had been given. Very frustrating… Read Full Review

so we had a break in and bikes stolen! Direct Line were excellent and organised a voucher for Wheelies. we bought a bike that had a big discount as it was an old 2016 model, but my son really wanted it. My first communication with Wheelies was good. I chose my bike and they said I could have it the next day. Then I had a phone call to say that there was alittle cosmetic damage to my machine. A £40 compensatory voucher persuaded me to accept the offer on the spot. The next day I was called to ask if I accepted the offer I had already accepted. After my sons bike was stolen our insurance company referred us to wheelies. Initially service seemed good but when I chased delivery i was then told the bike had been discontinued even though it was still on the website. Initial contact was quick and efficient bike arrived 3 days later as planned. Well packaged. Seemed to ride ok apart from the gear indexing. It wasn't until i was setting off to catch a ferry with the bike on the roof of the car that I noticed the gear cables as they sit under the crank were crossed over each other therefore preventing the smooth action of the derailleur. The bike seems okay but the accessories I ordered were not fitted, despite assurances that they would be. I now have to take it to a bike shop to get these fitted, which is very convenient, and then try to get reimbursed by Wheelies. And I can't use my bike in the meantime.
