Tempur Pillows

i have got 2 different pillows from tempur and not happy at all. I think they are too high and hard. it is not comfortable to sleep on them.

I ordered a tempur cushion in Novemeber for a Christmas present and was advised delivery would be within 10days to 2 weeks.Tempur phoned to say it would be slightly later but would probably arrive around 10th Dec. Next call was to my husband who was assured it would arrive in time for Christmas. Today 23rd December, having had no delivery or update, telephoned Tempur to be told that they did not expect to have a delivery until 18th January but yes they had taken payment from my card!!The custmomer services were far from helpful and I had to insist on speaking to a supervisor who had to be asked to find out if there were any in stock in my immediate area.Had they been honest in the first place I probably could have bought the cushion weeks ago in a local store supplier. Rubbish service would not ever deal agaoin.

I ordered two Tempur Mattresses at John Lewis last week, and at the same time bought two pillows. the Mattresses are on a four week lead time. After four days of using the pillows, I have hives appearing on my face, on the side that I lie. Both my wife and I think that the pillows smell odd too (a slight musty or mouldy smell). I have a shoulder/ neck complaint, so I am hoping the they make a difference.

But given my experience to date I have cancelled the mattress order. I know that I will not be able to get my £160 back for the pillows, but I am not prepared to waster £2,000 on a mattress that makes little difference to my condition, and potentially causes skin problems.

It would have been useful if the John Lewis had given a more complete picture of the potential pros and cons of Tempur. However in fairness I should have read all of the reviews on here before I ordered the product.

I have bought the Sonata Pillow by Tempur and am only using it a few days, but I am getting great benefit from it. I wake up without ache in my neck and shoulder area which I used to have with a feather and down pillow. there is an odour from the pillow and there are claims that the chemicals in these products cause cancer on other websites, so you can imagine I am apprehensive on this point and have it outside all day. I am apprehensive ahout buying a mattress and after going through these reviews, I am even more reluctant to buy - but that's my take on the pillow!

I purchased a traditional tempur pillow. First night I used it I woke up in a couple of hours with a horrible neck pain and headache. I never had such experience before. Thanks God I didn't throw away my old pillow and immediately put it back. Neither tempur nor retailer returned me the money.
