Just bought a Hästens bed and mattress on the King's Road shop in London. They do not come cheap and in return for that one would expect good quality and service. After the initial lenghty delivery time of 2 months, the bed got delivered. It turned out that the bed had been cut and was damaged. I had to wait another 6 weeks for the bed to be replaced. No sorry from the shop on King's Road however. "It is not our responsibility or fault". On top of that they behaved terribly rude to my pregnant wife. They sold it for a lot of money so of course they were responsible. The customer pays and is always right. I would advise any one if they ever buy a Hästens bed to use a different shop and make sure you do not pay untill you are happy with the product.

On first visit the staff were friendly and prices seemed ok. We ordered the bed we wanted over the phone and when it was delivered it was the wrong bed. After chasing them up quite a bit (staff always said they'd call back but never did - as soon as they made the sale they were unhelpful and extremely rude) they replaced it with yet another wrong bed. They now refuse to exchange it or provide a refund, won't return our calls and have ignored the legal action we took against them. Unfortunately experiences like these put me right off supporting small/ independent businesses, if you're buying a bed, buy it from a big place that has proper consumer rights protection processes in place.
