Do Not Use Avast Free Antivirus

Avast Free Antivirus told me that there was a problem with the search engine on my browser (Firefox). When I clicked on the button to find out what Avast thought the problem was, it replaced my search engine (Startpage HTTPS) with Yahoo.

Startpage does not keep records of your searches. Yahoo records everything and passes it along to big brother and anyone who will pay for it.

After fixing the problem I then discovered that they had also eliminated my homepages and replaced them with Yahoo.com.

There was no warning that these things would be done. In my opinion that puts Avast Free Antivirus in the category of malware.

I have removed Avast Antivirus from my machine.
