Uber is a mobile phone app that allows you to get a ride anywhere in the city within a few minutes. A driver that has been background-checked will accept your request for a ride, and you can track their movement towards you by GPS. Uber provides the driver's name, license place number and a description of their car so it's easy to find them when they get close. Once you arrive at your destination, the Uber app handles payment automatically for you with the credit card attached to your account. No need for cash, and no need to tip. You'll get an emailed receipt, and the best part: you get to rate the driver and your experience with them, which helps to ensure that the service is always top-notch.

Not only is it a lot more enjoyable than a regular taxi experience, it's generally much cheaper and easier. Highly recommended for anyone who's not afraid to use technology to get around.
