BA Transfer: Inconsistent, unreliable & poor customer care

Until recently, I was a BA Transfer customer for more than the last 12 months, with over 10 trips with them in that time. The below review is for a journey two weeks ago and the service we received still makes me angry.

While the ability to book this service online is great, the service you receive is totally inconsistent and more often than not - it's terrible. While there are some great reviews - I am writing from the perspective of multiple trips with a highlight on one.

The majority of the pickups have been late, with no reason or apology ever given. Each time we have complained and provided the detail in the 'loaded' customer survey they provide, to which we have never had any response or improvement in service. Our latest journey with them was the final straw...

Booked way in advance for an early morning flight out of Gatwick for my partner and our 11wk old baby, the driver was again late. At 10mins late it was us who had to call BA Transfer (not the driver calling to say he was on his way). The driver initially arrived with no reason or apology for being late.

The baby seat provided was extremely dirty (disgusting). It was lucky we had a spare blanket, otherwise we could not have put our baby in it. The driver was then speeding the whole way to the airport - very unsafe and not a situation we want to be in again - especially with a baby.

The return journey: due to the issues with the first journey, I emailed a day before our return pickup to advise of the first issue and then specifically requested our driver to be on time and to provide a clean baby seat. We made it to arrivals with our bags on time. No driver. We had to call BA transfer to find out where he was. We were told he was 15-20mins away. 30 mins later we again called BA to locate our driver to be told he was at the airport and he would call us. Another 10mins, with no call from the driver, so we call BA again to be told he is on his way. Th driver finally calls to tell us he is NOT at the airport and is another 5-10mins away. We have an 11wk old baby and baggage waiting for our car!
The driver eventually arrives and tells us this was not his original pickup. He had a 6pm job that cancelled, so he was given our pickup at the last minute.
We get back to the car to find there is NO BABY SEAT - despite including it on the booking information and emailing the day before specifically about the seat. With already being over an hour late and deliveries expected at out house, we were left with no choice but to hold our baby all the way home!!! There are no words to properly describe our anger at this, on top of the pure frustration at the repeated lateness of BA transfer - with no apparent care or apology.
The driver was very apologetic and apparently wasn't told about the seat requirement.

I lodged a complaint with them and have now received a small partial refund, an apology for "the inconvenience" and a reassurance it won't happen again on future trips. It won't happen again as there will be no future trips with this company as we do not trust them to safely transport our family anywhere on time.
Unbelievably bad service, no real customer care and ZERO belief they will change.

Despite over 12 months of being a BA Transfer customer, I have absolutely no wish to remain one.

Use other reputable providers who can at least turn up on time!
