Our party of six recently embarked on a trip to Turkey and for this we chose to travel with Turkish national airline even though we heard lots of horror stories about this airline we thought we would decide for ourselves.

We called their booking office to book our flight and the person who dealt with us had Very poor English. It was so bad we could hardly understand what was he saying it took us ages to communicate with him and was a very frustrating experience for all parties. We planned to go from 5th to10th October and that is what we told him but due to his poor understanding of basic English he didn't understand correctly and booked our tickets from 6th to 10th October. We complained about this horrible mistake and we were told that they will listen to the conversation and let us know the outcome. With not long to go before we were due to travel out this was nail biting and so we kept on calling them to find out what was going on but they sent us an email after a week telling us it was me not the adviser who made the mistake.
Two of our friends who had taken time of work accordingly then lost a whole day from their holiday.

We were very disappointed as now we had only three days to enjoy our trip instead of four days. Their customer service is unprofessional as most of their advisers don't have good English which is very frustrating for customers and above all things we were duped into believing it was our fault. We event offered to hear the recording so we could hear for ourselves want had happened during the conversation with the staff member.

I would NOT recommend this airline to ANYONE. They are looking out for number one themselves and the old custom of the customer is always right doesn't apply here even if you are indeed in the right. Poorest customer service I have ever come across in my entire life.
