Staffordshire Waterworld

I took my 2 kids for a swim , but after seeing some woman dress from head to toe with long dress , socks , I decided to get out the water for hygiene reasons . Leave your religious beliefs at home ! I didn't take my cross , just not to annoy anyone , so why should I tolerate those peoples .

car parking confusing and expensive

food - dont bother

cleanliness - must save a fortune on mops, brushes, clothes, cleaning materials etc

Staff - miserable

Management - non existant

rides - just go to Alton Towers and have fun

I visited Waterworld in Stoke with my old mate Ben and my big lad Stokesy. After the experience of getting changed in a disgusting excuse of a cubicle, we walked out to the pool. We were first greeted by a 3-5 year old running around with his shorts and pants pulled down before peeing on the floor. My friend Stokesy had difficulty getting into the pool because of his weight and the staff were no help what so ever, calling him a fat mess and squeezing his man boobs. We had a quick swim in the brown, merky water and went to get changed where my eyes were welcomed by a big brown poo lying in my shorts. I was not happy and took a photo of it. When I went to complain to the staff she started laughing and kicked me in the genitals.

Took my two Children for a treat after seeing the web advert thought this would be a fun day out. What a shock and rip off I am very surprised that the local environmental health department haven't closed this place down the changing room was disgusting nowhere had been properly cleaned for a very long time. The rides and public spaces are in desperate need of some maintenance and cleaning not bits of tape and filler. Far too many people being let in making the place very unsafe for children left within one hour. Even the children wanted to get out of this place and not go into that filthy water again. The web advert should Read Number 1 Rip off in the country.

If you like used nappy's and soiled sanitary tiles in the changing rooms, then this place cannot be bettered! The Pi ce de r sistance, however,after finding faeces on the floor of the showering area was the complete indeference and couldn't care less attitude of the staff !! Quite literally the worst swimming pool I have ever been to! The owner of the facilty, MO Chowdry did not reply to my letter of complaint, so he can't be too concerned either!

I would ignore a lot of the comments on this review, i would say i am a fussy person but Waterworld was great, we went with a range of ages from 5 to 63! and we had great fun. My advice would be:

1. Book online so you can queue jump to get in and for food

2. Arrive at 10am when it opens as when we left by 2 it was heaving but quite to start with.

changeing rooms were old but clean, food ok and reasonably priced although they could do with some more healthy options.

Overall we had a great day, good value for money and the kids and grandparents !! loved it.

Just got back from WW in Stoke. OK it was summer hols so i expected it to be busy, and it was. Took half an hour to get in, queues on all the rides, average say 15-20mins ? Just about tolerable but i've experienced better in the UK and certainly abroad.

My main complaint was the pool side food. It was minging pig swill. OK harsh comments but greasy food which feels like it has been lingering in old fat is not what i wanted. About £8 for an adult and child. If you like this type of thing maybe its OK and there were some people hoovering it up - but you could tell from their form they lived on this stuff. The stink of this wafting around the pool wasnt nice either.

May go back but at a quiet time and pre-fed !

My first thought was that Waterworld was a lively, fun and exciting place to be. I could not have been more wrong. The locker room was filthy, the lockers didn't work and the staff refused a refund. The pool itself was dirty too, there were used plasters and litter floating everywhere.

Queuing for rides was cramped and dangerous. The staff looked bored and didn't care WHAT was going on around them.

Finally, the rides themselves. Old, dangerous, dirty and FREEZING cold water.

Terrible day out for anyone.

far to many people in there,had to wait for water rides,rapids rubbish, the rings were ok,other stuff couldnt get near,total waste of money,locker system very poor.

wont be returning again.

it was overpriced crammed and dirty, the floor hurt your feet as u walked on it round the pool and also the floor was moldy by the seating area. And one lad even pulled down his shorts and weed in the pool. Its outdated, dirty, broken tiles, you don't even get your 50p back from locker! it was badly design,you cannot see your children and there were teenagers running around the baby area. you are only allowed to stay for 3 hours! Also, my daughter went on a ride and there was poo on the step! she had to tell the lifeguard because no one bothered to report it! One man was bleeding because he had cut himself on a broken tile. waste of money i suggest you don't go!
