Bach Strad Lt180-72 Lightweight - I Certainly Can'
Bach Strad LT180-72 Lightweight - I certainly can't recommend this horn for a symphony player who is looking for a dark sound. But I play mostly lead and jazz, and it works well for me. If I have to, I can get a semi-dark tone for church work, with a larger mouthpiece, but it is what it is -- a bright horn. I haven't found another horn that plays as well from high C to F# above that. After that, it's a bit stuffy, if you can believe that (maybe it's just my chops).
I'm looking at getting a LT180-72 and I'm looking at doing a lot of big band/jazz work with a bit of classical, but deffanetly more leanient towards the comercial playing, so this might be a good horn? And by it gets stuffy above F# is it intonation wise or just feeling wise???
I found this review helpful because...I am also an owner of this horn and agree with the review.
