Great V Twin At A Good Price
Had quite few bikes before owning a 2001 model. the bike was needing some tlc. So after a full service new tyres, 14amp battery. These bike can have starting problems if the battery gets low on charge then the sprag clutch goes, big money to fix £500.00
Great handling bike loads of torque very fast. Had 160mph on the track. Good looking bike and comfy, the mirrors work and the seat has loads of foam. Secondhand parts are cheap. This bike can be had for around £2300.00 or the R version for about £3500. The Rotax engine is very reiable. I will be keeping this bike for very long time.

Have Had My 04 Rsv Mille (last Of 03 Shape) For Ab
have had my 04 rsv mille (last of 03 shape) for about 6 months now starts first time everytime however battery is a bit on the small side so i have mine hooked up to the optimate during the cold months, suprisingly comfortable over long distances, but a thirsty beast she is i average 90 miles before the light comes on. great front brakes just clean them regularly and they wont let you down the back brake is poor however with the amount of engine braking available who needs a back brake anyhow. parts are expensive but plentifull on auction sites and rsv forums and bargains can be had if you look around, twist the throttle and the bike comes alive the exhaust tone is sublime i use a termignoni carbon race can but have the std can for MOT time the std can is huge and weighs a ton however a good growl comes out of the back of it when past 6000rpm, nowhere else can you but italian exotica for jap bike money rsv/r dripping in bling and expensive goodies as standard what a bike i am converted to italian twins

I Bought 2002 Aprillia Mille This Year, And No Pro
I bought 2002 Aprillia Mille this year, and no problems at all until one day, got fuel and bike wouldn't start again. "EFI" kept flashing up on speedo, bumped started it, and keep having to bump start it, also, speedo now reads in KMPH not MPH! is it just new battery I need or is something wrong with electrics?

As Good As I Have Found My 2003 Mille, I Had To Fi
As good as I have found my 2003 Mille, I had to fit High Riser clip-ons that I sourced from FE1 Motorcycle works in New Zealand (rapidartnz.com) to increase the comfort levels for my 44yr old back and neck. What a difference that made! Previously I rode ZZR1100's for 10yrs before my Mille so I was a little used to more comfort. The Mille has bags more torque down low and in midrange than the ZZR ever had. Handles, steers, brakes, goes, looks better too. Different types of machines I know, but hey...
The bike feels planted going through slow and fast corners. Faster the better naturally. The grunt out of corners is intoxicating, then diving hard onto the brakes with only one finger for the next bend is reassuring. Cruising on the freeway is great now and the seat is quite comfortable for a pure sports bike. I like the instruments with their digital features and it looks hot when lit up a night. The headlights are great and the bike still has a unique look and style about it.
I get about 230Km per 18ltr tank of fuel. Runs ok on std ULP as well. Oil changes are a sinch and major service intervals are 10K plus.
I would only long for the Mille R with the Ohlins suspension and OZ wheels over and above my standard Mille. Can't fault the bike. Love it.

I Came From A Ducati 748 To An Aprillia Rsv1000 Mi
I came from a Ducati 748 to an Aprillia RSV1000 Mille becuase I was looking for something a bit bigger - physically and in terms of power, and the eccentric litre twin seemed like a good bet. Another bonus was the insurance bracket - which is a group lower than most others in the same class.
The power delivery is smooth and very strong. The Mille makes as much torque at 4000 revs as an R1 does at more than double that. The oil sump is designed for constant lubrication - even with the front wheel up which is lucky, because it happens very very easily! The brakes are superbly sharp - the best ive ever used in fact.
Though the bike is tall and has great ominous presence, once onboard it feels very snug and comfortable. I wouldnt say this is a bike suitable for beginners (not that im a pro) but it is quite unforgiving. The handling is supreme once good throttle control is learned.
The only thing I miss about the Ducati, other than the sheer art of the design, is the sound. The Aprilia sounds very restrained in comparison and actually more like a throttled IL4 in my opinion - but im sure a decent sports exhaust will sort that out!

These Bikes Get Looks. The Sound Of The Engine In
These bikes get looks. The sound of the engine in the Aprilia RSV Mille is great. They can hang with anything on a twisty road. A real bargain on the used market.
They really stay planted to the road and inspire confidence. The workmanship in the frame and other details is evident. I think the future is bright for Aprilia. It's truly a rider's dream.

This Aprilia Rsv Mille Is A Great Sports Bike For
This Aprilia RSV Mille is a great sports bike for the experianced motorcyclist, it will laugh at your attempts to get it round corners. I've owned 6 sports bikes including a 2003 R1 and a 2004 gixxer 1000. If you've got a lot of money to spend I would definately not buy this, I would go for a MV augusta f4. The main reason is that the rsv is so expensive to keep on the road.
