BMW R1200 C

I've owned these BMW R1200 bikes in one form or another for 10 years.

It's a truely unique bike that polarises opinion.

Others either love it or hate it.

Perfromance is spritely from low rpm, but it will run out of puff quickly.

Short shifting to top gear car style is the order of the day.

Handling is good, but the OE shocks are poor quality which can cause the bike to get a bit scary turning on bumpy roads.

It's a great two up tourer, provided you fit the optional BMW pillion seat and large panniers.

I've just done 3000 miles in two weeks two up touring in France on mine.

BMW R1200 has strong performer in tight turns and long distances...longest day in the saddle= 620miles/day

easy to manuever: i am 5'2" & 140lbs.

preferred riding speed: 70-80mph.

survived being trash compacted between SUV and a VAN 1.5 yrs. ago while stopped at a red light...bought another one just like the one wrecked! wouldn't be here if the frame had not done it's job...

We rode it the BMW R1200 C in Spain, UK, Sweden, From the Fjords of Norway to Nord Kapp, Finland & in Ireland.

Great Torque -with 2 up & luggage.

Comfortable fo 2 hour sessions -Max..

Classy Bike & always draws attention when we stop.

We love it -despite it's niggles.

The BMW R1200 C is an elegant Tourer that has a great deal of personality. The chrome is prone to fast deterioration if not looked after properly. Difficult to clean the spoke wheels.
