Just In My Opinion
It is perfect. Granted, they have amazing albums now, too. Go check them out. Hot Fuss will always be a classic. It includes such amazing singles and hits that should be familiar to people by now. I would definitely recommend people to listen to this album, but I also recommend people to listen to their Sam's Town, Sawdust, Day & Age, and the new Battle Born albums as well. You're bound to find wonderful songs to fit your taste---whatever it may be. They are extremely diverse in their music, and it is what makes them a wonderful band. So definitely have a go at it! Everything will be all right! Smile like you mean it, and listen to this wonderful indie rock & roll.

Hot Fuss Saw The Killers Hit Centre Stage In The M
Hot Fuss saw the Killers hit centre stage in the music scene - seeing them at Reading perform practically the whole of the Hot Fuss album was probably the highlight of the festival that year (2005, though I think Queens of the Stone age were vastly superior, but hey).
It's a good strong album with great singles material in Mr. Brightside, Smile Like you Mean It and Somebody Told Me; all a bit quirky, a bit odd, good drumming and guitar work, a bit "left-of-centre" pop, as one might expect. With the Zutons, Fratelli's and Monkeys all doing quirky pop these days, its difficult to work out who had the idea first. Hay-ho.
But the clincher for me and the real reason to get the album is the more rock-romp-esque All these things That I've Done. Well known and even hammed up by Robbie Williams in his live performances (Live8), it remains an absolute belter of a song, has a wonderful progression, a very simple chord line, great lyrics and a nice guitar melody. A worthy reason alone to have this on your nano or wherever, but the rest of the album is pretty good too.

I Borrowed Hot Fuss Accidently A While Back.
I borrowed Hot Fuss accidently a while back.
As a rule, I don't really get one with this genre of music. However, Hot Fuss is the exception.
I can't think of much to say apart from this is a VERY good album and is only let down slightly by the last track.
I would definately recommend this to anyone.

Looking Into The Killers Hot Fuss Album Too Closel
Looking into The Killers Hot Fuss album too closely is a bad idea all together, but when it comes to solid pop music, The Killers have the edge here.
Not exactly awe-inspiring rock, but as far as commercial singles and flawless image go, The Killers have raised the bar with this debut. I can only hope that they don't take themselves TOO seriously, because I know I don't.
Great to bop your head, but that's about it.

The Killers' Debut Album Hot Fuss Is Amazing. Unle
The Killers' debut album Hot Fuss is amazing. Unless you live under a rock in a desert you can't have failed to hear some of the singles. Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things That I've Done have all been realeased, some more than once as The Killers struggled to gain the recognition they deserved. In a way I was slightly disappointed as I was hoping to find tracks on the album that were even better than what I had heard already. This isn't the case and the rest of the album is somewhat overshadowed in my opinion by those tracks. That's not to say it is bad though. It is well worth a listen, quite original, and for sing-a-long action. Your record collection needs this album.

The Killers, Hot Fuss - This Album Is Going To Be
The Killers, Hot Fuss - This album is going to be big, much bigger than it is now.
You love (or even if you weren't fussed) about 'Somebody Told Me' - I guarantee you will LOVE the likes of 'Andy You're a Star' 'Jenny Was a Friend of Mine'... I could list another 8 tracks... Just one more O.K... 'All These Things I've Done' - If you don't LOVE it (no matter your taste in music) I'll be very surprised!
