I Like Einaudi's Work. It's A Merger Of Gentle Pas
I like Einaudi's work. It's a merger of gentle passion and melody. Every piece has an interesting motif to make the cyclical nature of his work much more interesting and much more like being on a journey than a roller coaster ride.
Last night, many of the pieces merged seemlessly into one another. It left the audience to just drift between pieces, but not so much that there wasn't an opportunity to catch ones breath to take in what was heard as the applause, generous and genuine, died down to give way to the next piece.
The backing musicians were similarly awesome. Acoustic guitars, electric synths, synth guitar and of course the traditional orchestra which, according to the man himself, was from Italy, augemented and complemented each other beautifully.
Personally, I would have appreciated the volume to have been raised slightly higher to add some drama. Not that it needed it specifically, just might have been an improvement possibly.
Sitting in our box, with refreshments to hand, I could easily have sat through the whole lot again. I reflected on the fact that we paid just £35 a head for these excellent box seats...yep, well worth the money and definately an easy recommendation.
Modern contemporary classical at its best!

Ludovico Einaudi, Echoes: The Einaudi Collection I
Ludovico Einaudi, Echoes: The Einaudi Collection is just beautiful. It is perfect music for a dinner party, to relax to, to work to, to listen to in the car...
It is music that just plays itself yet is anything but boring!
