Peterborough, Marriott hotel

I have to say that our stay at the Peterborough, Marriott hotel was most enjoyable. The staff were so friendly from start to finish, although we could see the hotel was busy, the staff was always there to help us. The hotel was excellent and it was hard to find fault.

We went on a weekend trip to Cambridge we stopped in a Marriott hotel in Peterborough. The hotel seemed fine although we could not get in the room as the key card did not work. The room had a bin full of rubbish left in the middle of the floor along with a towel. The worst bit was dinner time. It was served at 7 (no choice) and we were all made to sit together at the back of the resturant on long tables in groups of 10 or more. We had to get our own starters, Main course and dessert and even hasd to go back out to the bar for a drink. The hotel staff only took away empty plates. The food was very poor and the only choice was a carvery (on both nights!). It fact we ate out in another pub on the second night. It felt more like a school trip than a relaxing weekend.

The trips only left about 2 or 2 and a half hours to explore the cities.

The only good thing was the bus was always on time.

Never again.
