Midship Missile
I just bought my rev 3 rurbo . Thats my third mr2 since i was 19 when i bought my first aw 11 . But thus sw20 is something like the peak of toyota. Great feeling when you drive it. Everything awesome this car gives me a feeling that you can stay forever young in it cos there ain't no place for getting older when you drive the mr2. I really do not care much bout the fuel consption its a sport car and is not meant ti be economic. I believe that the mr2 is rha beat gift for all the males who want a fast but also affordable and goodlooking car. This car has only one bad point: it does not have bad points!!! And here is something for my friends: bye bye hondas!!!

Mine's An Mr2 Gt Rev 3 Turbo, Half Leather And Alc
Mine's an MR2 GT rev 3 Turbo, half leather and alcantara, with all the extras! Have had it for 2 years and driven it in all conditions, including heavy snow! I'd recommend taking it very easy in the snow, as it's incredibly twitchy... And really to be honest avoid driving in snow altogether if you can, because it's fun, but v v dangerous! I have a dented rim due to lame driving skill on my part. I'm not versed in driving mid-engined sports cars in the snow, and the turbo has enough lag to mean that it's very tricky!
This is not a torquey car, and needs to be revved to go fast. However, as long as you treat it with respect it's great fun!! I had a smart roadster before, which was amazing fun, lots of turbo smiles, with lots of electronics to help you out.
You could do silly speeds, and get away with very naughty stuff. DO NOT TRY THIS IN AN MR2 TURBO! UNLESS YOU REALLY LIKE TREES/BUSHES/MOTORWAY RESERVATIONS OR SUCHLIKE!!
This car has been amazing, and I've looked after it well, servicing every 6000miles and letting her warm up before using full power.
However, this is not a car to hang about. Whilst you can happily do normal speeds with no bother, it does like to be revved! Fuel economy is very good for the type of car, tyres have lasted me about 18000 miles, and all I can say is be very careful and do your research. Pay attention on the motorway, as her natural cruising speed seems to be around 95-100 if you're not concentrating!
I hankered after one for years, but set myself one weekend to buy one. Saw some very bad examples, and mine was incredibly good and very original. However, because it was original, there were lots of age-related things that needed replacing.
I'm fussy but, so far I've replaced all the dampers, bushes, brakes, wheels, tyres, and more besides. Just buying original kit has cost me £2500 including labour. If I'd still had my garage then the costs would have been a lot less!
Bear in mind, old sports car=replacing worn parts. But parts are available, and are not incredible money.
Compared to the supra TT that I was looking at, this is much more fun everyday, and far far lower cost. I average 15000miles a year, and get average 260miles to a 43 litre tank. Have got 370 on a longer motorway journey. Super is recommended, and does make a difference to both performance and economy. Tesco 99 gives me an extra 30 miles to a tank compared to normal 95. Car is designed for 100RON, and whilst it'll run on lower quality fuels, it feels "soggy" on 95RON.
Mine uses no oil to speak of, and has the power when I need it. Once you learn to drive it then it's amazing fun! Before that it can be very very scary! Don't be over-confident, and you'll be fine. Take it easy and you'll have the most fun!!! I'm only getting rid of mine because I now have lots of stuff to carry about, and whilst the boot is very big for a sports car, it's not up to carrying 4 jerry cans and luggage! For nroaml weekending it is perfect, however. And myself and a partner have weekended very comfortably in the past, with two holdalls, and two backpacks.

Toyota Mr2 T-bar Turbo Gts Rev 3. Good All Round S
Toyota MR2 T-BAR Turbo GTS Rev 3. Good all round sports car!
Enough boot space for a long weekend away, good sound system, a pleasure to drive and faster than most of your WRX's and EVO's out there!
Would buy one again if there weren't so many young lads driving about in them now-a-days giving them a bad rep.
The First Review Appears Somewhat Missinfomred. He
The first review appears somewhat missinfomred. He says do not buy an imported "dog" MR2 Turbo. Just a point here, but every MR2 turbo is an import as the turbo was never made for the UK market.

Great Performance, A Real Ferrari Feel To It, Engi
Great performance, a real Ferrari feel to it, engine noise is superb, you'd have no idea when you see one going by just how awesome it feels to drive. Must have the turbo though, DONT rob yourself and buy the NA version, it's still a suprb car but when you've experienced both you can't compare.
Nothing will deter me from buying another Turbo, there is a reason supercars are built mid engined rear wheel drive, the MR2 Turbo follows that ethic superbly. Track days, road use, driving in traffic on a hot day, all good!

I Own A Black Rev 3 Toyota Mr2 Gt-s Turbo 1993...i
I own a black rev 3 Toyota MR2 GT-S turbo 1993...I'd say an absolute bargain at £4000. It's 300bhp with a T60 garrat turbo, these cars can quite easily be tuned to eat 911's, I love them so buy one. If you can get hold of some Nissan Skyline R32 rims...they go straight on, with spacers for the front. You get amazing grip due to the rears being 20 mil wider!

Hard To Drift These But You Can Still Have Fun In
Hard to drift these but you can still have fun in the wet :) not the best for shopping and if you got kids etc but its a proper sports car, if you buy 1 you gotta drive it like you stole it you don t buy a fast car to drive slow! plenty of tuning available for these too, can push these to over 600bhp if you really wanted to, and the best bit is watching the imprezas fade away in you mirror, i love it, you will love it, so buy 1, and you aint gotta go to Toyota for all the bits, try ebay its endless, dizzy and rotor together cost me £30 and i fitted it myself easy peezy, other parts like cam belt can b pricey but the best way is to stay away from the main dealer and use a proper jap tuners, alot cheaper and do a better job ; ). All in all buy this car and prepare to enter the world of high speed pleasure and fun, with the likes of HKS and Blitz, Greddy/trust at your fingertips, and an endless list of upgrades, get 1 now, and watch the ladies drool and come flocking.

Just bought my first Toyota MR2 its a GT T-Bar Turbo as well. I have had some fun cars in my time but this is the first one to make me feel like a really great driver, need to get it de-restricted any advice would be gratefully received, as for insurance I may be old at 52 but I put it on a classic policy with performance direct for 180.05 now that really makes me smile.

This Is My Second Toyota Mr2 In 3 Years, My Old On
This is my second Toyota MR2 in 3 years, my old one had everything, leather, the looks, etc, but one main problem, IT HAD NO TURBO!
I have looked long and hard for my current turbo, a 1994, Rev3 Turbo with leather and Alcantra interior and only 54,000 miles. Completely standard and never seen rain in this country as it was a weekend car all for only £3900. Now that's what I call a bargain supercar.
The MR2 Turbo is a wickedly fast car, with tons of grip (in the dry), and great fun in the wet. I previously owned an Integra Type-R which gave me a huge grin when the V-Tech kicked in but the MR2 gives a complete new experience of power and fun. It handles like a go-kart and just gives and gives and gives.
As I said this is my second MR2 and I would have a third and fourth, I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a cheap high performance car.
