I enjoyed watching this movie with my girlfriend, she said it was her favorite movie so of course I said I would watch with her. Also I am a big fan of Nicole Kidman and she killed it.
How Wonderful Life Is....."moulin Rouge"(2001)
The plot is a typical love story(Boy meets girl). But it isn't boring.I think this film is comical,musical,touching,exciting,well directed.
The Main actor is Christian(by Ewan Mcgregor). He is a novelist who has never known "LOVE".Satine(by Nicole Kidman)is a top star at Moulin Rouge(cabaret)in France.
In 1890,At Moulin Rouge,Satine who is a dreaming actress plays everyday,everynight.Everybody loves her.In fact,the affairs of Moulin Rouge are in very poor state.The owner of Moulin Rouge has a plan.He found a patron,and He'll introduce Satine to this patron.Satine want to meet this patron for the dream of hers.
Christian arrived at Monmartre where many artists are gathering. His talent(as anovelist) is recognaized by some artisits.
At Moulin Rouge,some artists are planning to meet Satine and Christian.
The love of two is getting move.....
It was released in 2001.
The director is Baz Lurman.
One of His films is "Romeo + Julliet".
I feel The technique of his direction is so unique.
If you'll see it,you'll feel it's fast paced and uncomfortable.
But this is the feature of his works.
10 years ago,I watched it at the cinema when I watched again I found a clever soundtrack afresh by Baz Lurman.In this film,there are various pop songs that are old,new,famous touching songs.
And every cast had sung really before the camera.Every cast performed delightfully and lively.
I felt their emotions, so I can't miss it until the end.
The costumes are so gorgeous,delicate,and traditional matching the age.
Catherin Martin(Baz's wife) designed them.
If you want to go Moulin Rouge,You should watch this film.

Unbelievable! Was gripped til the end! Everything was included and was beautifully written, love, hate, jealousy, truth, freedom, song, dance & humour! If I was ever in a film I'd want to be Nicole in this one

Great film, great plot, great cast and great music.
What more could you want?
Moulin rough leaves you wanting to date Ewan and wanting to be nicole.
Really good film.
The ending is rather sad and leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth.
But the rest of the film makes up for it.
Must see movie.

I think I already watched Moulin Rouge for tens of times. The music, the way the story was told, all the symbols and the images were just amazing. It is one of my favorites!
Nichole Has Wasted Her Talents On A Film Which Sho
Nichole has wasted her talents on a film which should not have even got past the writer pitching his idea. (Media speak for a meeting with a producer/director)
This film was sooooo bad, when it had big name actors it should have been better. Don't get me wrong it was not the acting it was the film idea.
If you havent already seen it DONT WASTE YOUR TIME it will be a waste just go and help the old and infirm or something.

Moulin Rouge Is The Best Film Ever Made! The Very
Moulin Rouge is the best film ever made! The very first time I saw it I cried my eyes out. I also fell in love with Ewan Mcgregor, who plays Christian the struggling writer in the film, also Nicole Kidman is fantastic as Satine the beautiful courtisean. The dancing, music, singing, characters, and script are absolutley brilliant. I'm a very BIG fan of the film, I have the video, collectors edition soundtrack, the script, songwords and pictures of Ewan and Nicole. I give Moulin Rouge 10/10.
Yeah but if you're going on a car ride or riding the bus or something you can't bring the dvd and listen to it on your cd player! Besides it's too much trouble going through the whole movie if you just want to listen to the song!

Moulin Rouge is the best movie of all time! It is so great! And they couldn't have picked a better cast. You know whenever Ewan Mcgregor and Nicole are singing face to face I keep thinking "I hope Ewan doesn't have bed breath" lol nini-legs??? That's her name? I didn't know that. She's probably my favourite character. I don't know why. There is a book! Coolie! I want to read it!=D
I think Moulin Rough is a great movie and i think Baz Lurhman is an amazing actor but buying all that stuff, it's just a waste of money. No offence, it's good ure passionate about sumfin but i dont think you really needed to buy the soundtrack as well as the film, the songs are on the film.

i have a moulin rouge book which im reading its all bout the film. ive also got a poster, the film and i collect pictures of nicole kidman and ewan mcgregor in a book sounds sad but i dont care if people fink that! wot r u favourite songs? i love all of them i have the special edition cds with all of the songs on it, im always listening 2 it.
i agree i also envy nicole kidman, she gets 2 work,dance,sing and kiss ewan mcgregor the fittest man in the world, shes a very lucky woman.

I also think Moulin Rouge is the best film ever. I have seen it about 600 times i have it on video i have all the songs i know all the song words especially the 'Elephant love melody' and Your Song'. I envy Nicole Kidman she had a wonderful voice and she got to work with Ewan Mcgregor which must have been so cool. And i fell in love with Ewan Mcgregor straight away, He has the most wonderful voice i have ever heard. Also Harold Zidler, The duke, Toulouse, The Argentinian and Roxann (The Other Courtasan who annoys Christian and the Duke)Do there parts absolutly fantastic and they must have had some fun while doing the video to... until the end that is. Definatly 10/10

Moulin Rouge is my favourite movie of all time! A real tearjerker, you must have a heart of stone to not cry at the end! It has all the things a great film needs, love, heartbreak, tragedy, catchy songs that make you laugh and cry at the same time, comedy, close timings, amazing stars incl. Ewan McGregor, Nicole Kidman and cameo performances from people like Kylie Minogue! What more could you want? A great soundtrack, a must have for all fans of the movie and a great dvd with cool bonus features!

We Thought The Movie Was Excellent, Ewan Mcgregor
We thought the movie was excellent, Ewan McGregor is extremely hot. We loved all of the characters except The Duke and Lily.
We do not like musicals - our first thought was since it is a musical it will probably be dumb- IT WASN'T. We loved it and have watched it everyday since we got it. Ewan McGregor is a wonderful singer and is really hot, him and Nicole Kidman make a good couple. Music scenes were really cool, especially the parts where Ewan sang. We loved it. Ewan McGregor is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hot!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Ewan McGregor is really hot. Is he now. Then throw a bucket of water over him before the season starts!

In the 1st 10 minutes of Moulin Rouge you will think what the £$&@'. After that, it is: 'what was this guy on when he wrote it'.
It is not my type of film but I was enthralled from begining to end. A real good fun movie, great singing and performances from great actors.
If you want the soundtrack buy the Double disk version, I can't stop playing the closing credits music, FAB.
