India, Our Experience.

Wow ! . We've been on the Golden Triagle and we were looked after by the Archers staff from arriving on the plane to departure. All staff were excellent. The hotels were first class. The tour director and driver were second to none. All in all we would have no problem in recommending this tour to anyone. Once again Archers. Thank You.

A Wonderful Experience

Just returned from above tour +shimla add on.(OUR TOUR REF:A230701.)This was our first long haul experience to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary but already want to tour again with your company.Words cannot express our appreciation of your excellent tour manager,Freddie who obviously loved India and went out of his way to make our experience as memorable as possible. My husband was taken ill on one journey but everything was taken care of,we were got to our hotel quickly,a doctor called and everything resolved .We hope that you will pass on our feedback to him and wish him well!

We only have two very minor critisisms- Virgin Airways off hand service at Heathrow-we believe some couples did not get seats together and that there was confusion over extra charges to do so.We were treated with disdain because we had not reserved seats on line or obtained our own boarding passes but did sit together with no charges demanded! There was no food choice but the return flight was fine-good service at Dehli airport and full food choice etc.

The Indian Guides were good except the one at Jaipur who was disinterested and more enthusiastic about taking us to retail outlets.Consequently we missed a lot at the Palace Museum-we were left to watch a Painter in the hope that we would make purchases and realised later that there was much we did not see!

These are small complaints however-the tour was excellent as was the choice of hotels. We have many wonderful memories and thanks again to Freddie!!

Golden Triangle Tour Is Valuable Especially In The

golden triangle tour is valuable especially in the Indian context. in fact, i have been through this tour many a times, however, it is confined to major tourist destinations. it's not that delhi, jaipur, and agra are not significant in terms of travel but as a traveler i always love to go beyond the acclaimed tourist destinations. to cite an example, delhi is great in terms of its metropolitan stature, however it has many a things to explore in its vicinities than being a dumb witness of major tourist destinations. similarly, agra not only homes the glorious taj mahal, but is a city with many forts and palaces. same applies to jaipur. holidays4india.com bestows golden triangle tour with distinction. they make you search for other travel worthy avenues. check out yourself and have a glimpse of the beautiful unknown that resides in the vicinities of these great places.

I Did The Golden Triangle Myself Back In March Of

I did the Golden Triangle myself back in March of this year, pretty much the best time to visit India I'm told, and had an absolutely wonderful time. As an ex-backpacker I'm now appreciating the luxury of a fuss-free properly planned tour so much more!

I had been told so much about India, good and bad, and wanted to make sure I got it right, so I did the Triangle reasoning that with so many destinations there was bound to be something I liked. I wasn't wrong. I spent two nights at Delhi, two at the Ramada in Jaipur and two at the Mughal at Agra.

As an Englishman and a first-time visitor to India I wasn't quite sure if I was going to be harassed down the street by crowds of hustlers, but it turns out I had nothing to worry about - there are probably too many white faces to even notice any more. What was even better was that the majority of people speak fairly good English, albeit with a rather comically perky Indian accent. I remember getting a cab from the Viceroy's Palace and telling the cabbie I wanted to go to Humayun's Tomb. He didn't understand the destination the first three times I repeated it, and so out of desperation I said it again with a ridiculously put-on Indian accent. "Ah, Humayun's Tomb! Of course!" he replied.

India is, of course, rather hot, but dress properly and drink plenty of water and you should acclimatize fairly quickly. Bear in mind, of course, that England will feel even colder when you return...

So in summary I did lots of sightseeing, lots of shopping, and yes I couldn't resists a visit to the Taj Mahal. It really is quite fantastic; I didn't realise that the inside is as breathtaking as the famous outside. Walking on the marble floor made me feel like a raja. The hotels were great and the staff friendly, all the transfers were handled without fuss and about the only complaint I had was with my partner who suddenly developed a love of expensive rugs. (Really, how are you going to get a rug home? Fold it sixty-five times and put it in a suitcase?)

My own traveller's tip is to consider getting yourself a tailored suit whilst in Delhi. You will not find one of better quality for a lower price. Just hold firm on haggling. I don't know too much about Newmarket Travel as in your original question, but would thoroughly recommend http://www.travelpack.com who organised my own holiday faultlessly.
