My Virtual Home, www.mvh.com.au

A total waste of time, my wife (highly competent IT operator) and I spent a day trying to use this software that was missing soooo many elements we just gave up in the end. Are the positive reviews written by the creators of this software? Because we cannot find anything positive to say about it.

I have tried used My virtual home a fair bit, I am disapointed and glad I havent paid for this software.

Firstly upon loading the program my vitrual home appears to contain great graphical detail and amazing possibilites. In the menu of items, furniture, materials, etc there isnt alot of choice in furniture or brands available, not giving realistic options for decorating a house designed.

Second, the number of times my virtual home has crashed without reason and told me there is a "Fatal Error" is rediculous. Even the recent update hasnt fixed this problem, that many others besides myself have complained about and requested a fix.

Since the time of downloading My Virtual Home the chat option has never worked no matter how many times I turn it on or Enter my username to begin chat, nothing happens. I would and many others would appreciate being able to correspond with others out there who like to design and get ideas from the community.

Sending in a error logs(at least 25 since downloading)seems to not get a response from the My Virtual Home administrators about my problem and there is no news of them trying to fix such issues on the forums as of yet, it has been quite a while and so I will not be recommending this program to my friends or anyone interested in design until such above issues are adressed.

I downloaded mvh software over the weekend and took a couple hours to get familiar with it. It is a great software with nice graphics and so many choices. I tried other free home design software which was okay but not as good as this. I use it because I just love architecture. It's easy to use and fun and is better than some home design software you pay for. This is quality.

Historically one of the challenges with My Virtual Home was the file size. The significant library of objects and materials built into the program meant that the install exe was over 600 MB and it was a large file to download. Version 2 which is currently in Beta has a much reduced install size, now some 35MB.

My Virtual Home has amazing graphics and really easy to use. What more do you need. I have tried to use quite a lot of home design programs over the years and My Virtual Home is the first one that I have actually managed to make a close representation of what it was I was trying to build. It great fun along the way. eg: You get to open doors and turn lights on etc. Just like a game really. Does need a powerful PC to run properly.
