Falkirk, The Falkirk Wheel

What a great place to take the kids for a day out. There are boat rides, walks, a café and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. My kids loved it here as there is so much to do and at the same time it is relaxing and simple and most of it is free! Can't complain at that.

I went to the wheel the other day with my dad and although it's no my cup of tea he had a great time. Its basically giant see-saw wi 2 swimming pools either end that boats go in, but the size amazing.

Theres a nice cafe for a cup of tea and you can go on a wee trip where you go on a boat up to the other cannel - along a bit and then back which is fun. Other than that theres no much to do there so maybe only good for a couple of hours, but fun like anyway.
