My partner and I and 2 childred rented a cottage from these people in August 2011. (Anne Welby). The wifi did not work and the pool was unsafe to use. We advised them but they did not fix it before our departure.

To top it all they accused us of leaving the place dirty and damaging the shower and bath (Not true it was like that when we arrived) and deducted £60 from our deposit.

No discussion nor did they provide recompense for the lack of the pool (our main reason for choosing the cottage & the lack of WIfi which meant extra costs for us).

With hindsight, there were a number of things wrong, broken glasses, chipped plates, dirty coffee machine, proken pool, non-working wifi, the bath that did not work. We didn't want to cause a fuss and took it in our stride when really we should have refused to stay there as did, I understand, the guests after us.

The place itself was pleasant enough, rustic, but the stairway lighting was a concern for our kids.

All in all, the place was Ok, but attention to detail poor and their attitude not very nice so can't recommend them.

Friendly hosts. Great for family reunions. Very safe for kids and toddlers. We will be back!
