Subaru WRX STi 2.0lt Turbo

This actually belongs to my friend, but I've driven it regularly so feel justified in reviewing it.

It's a pretty good looking piece of kit, and looks to be well made. The interior is good, certainly on a par with other cars, unlike earlier Imprezas which were a bit dull.

To drive it's very rapid as you'd expect, and the handling/grip is superb. The engine is well behaved and it's easy to drive in traffic. The ride is fairly hard, but is not too bad, really what you would expect.

The thing is, it's all very nice, but just a bit, well, a bit soulless. There's no real event in driving it. Sure it's fast, but so are half the cars on the road these days.

Still, if you want a family car that will wipe the floor with your neighbour's Mondeo away from the lights, this is it.
