NCL Cruises, Norwegian Pearl, Complete Caribbean

Hey, this was my last cruise with NCL, the ship was the Pearl and was a pretty ship with lousy people running it. I have 23 cruises (14 Carnival / 8 Princess) under my belt so I have knowledge of whats good and bad.The evening dinner food they offered was terrible, and this made you have to go to the specialty restaurants to get a descent meal. This in turn costs money and they know that and so will you. The Cabins are really small but shower is of good size but toilet badly placed expect to go sideways.

Watch the casino, They have lowered the 7.5 to 5 return on Blackjack to

6 to 5 odds at $5 tables. They have the roulette wheels that have only display past spin history to 6 spins from the normal 10 to 15 spins.

Lastly, one good item is the entertainment, Comedians, Second City Troupe, Jugglers were great. Save you money and sail a different line.

I can't praise this cruise enough. The food was wonderful. I love the freestyle dining where you can eat anytime you wish and not have to dress up if you don't want to. This is especially nice when you are in port and not have to rush back and take the time to dress up in formal attire. This was available for those who wanted it. The ship was exceptionally clean with hand sanitizers available all over the ship. Our inside stateroom was clean and well accomodated, plenty of room for clothes and places to hang things. I thought the shore excursions were a bit high priced but then the dollar is weak compared to foreign currencies at present. Almost all of the cities that we stopped at could be reached by walking so you do not have to take the tours (my sister and I are in our seventies). We walked all over and had a wonderful time. The only place we used a ship tour was in Stockholm as they were having a Triatholon the day we were there and we thought this would be easier than trying to navigate the traffic ourselves.

I loved this trip and can't wait to book another cruise with NCL.

I would not recommend NCL and it cruise ships which are the worst. Went on the TNCL Cruises, Norwegian Pearl, Complete Caribbean in May 2008, terrible food, dirty ship, bad management, rude crew and management. No good points.
