Monastir, Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel

Having beenback from our weeks holiday a while now ifeel calm enough to write my review.This hotel needs seriously updating...the staff our fantastic and will do anything for you but that's were the posatives end I afraid.Several ties throughout the week we were told to clear the pools ...that's all 3 of them as someone had defecated in them ...yes that's right...pood in the pool...every day...so the pools had to be closed and cleaned every day...having said that they were only closed for an hour and a half each time....and being a swimmer I asked our local lifeguard if this happens in our local pool how long do they close to filter it and he said 11 hours....bit of a difference.Ffrom the moment we arrived and stepped in the pool we couldn't see our feet it was that cloudy and I had false nails on and they were covered in a dirty film and I had to get them removed.On day 4 my son complaind of a bad stoumach and feeling sick and ha a temperature....subsequently he was bed ridden for 3 days....doctor was called up nurse called up ...ended up in hospital on a drip saying it was a virus...yes it probably was ...due to my son swallowing infected pool water....we lost 3 days of our holiday...we would recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs due to poor hygine...still waiting to hear from Thomas cook....

went as family of 10. 1 oap 6 adults and 3 kids 8-17. at first was sceptical as ramadan was on and heard people were grouchy, but 95% of people were lovely polite and helpful. large place with plenty of places to choose to eat, pizzas burgers salad chips etc at beach and pool bars, food slightly repetitive in restaurant but still enjoyable. Large freeform pool with waterfalls, large deeper pool and top pool with jacuzzi.Animation team brilliant always involved you (OR TRIED TO), Kids were looked after with them and gave them plenty to do, shows at night completely done by the animation team, some were good especially michael jackson tribute. Airport 10 mins away, sousse also 10 mins away, however shops are int the walk up to the restaurant. Downside is that they dont have cash machine or are not able to change money using a card so need to visit sahaline 2-3 kms away or sousse. But generally very nice place for a fantastic fun holiday.

The Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel is very big,plenty to do,the staff are excellent.

generally when i went to sousse u get hassled a lot from the sellers,but its a way of life for them.

the Iberostar Sahara beach hotel was very good, beach and weather fantastic. animation team the best ive ever seen... i will be going back in june and would love to stay there forever it was the best holiday ive ever had.

lovely gardens, pool, beach. 90% of the staff very friendly. went with my two sisters and felt very safe 24 hour security although didnt feel like we needed it.

Fantastic holiday at Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel in Monstir. good weather, beach and grounds excellent animation team the best ive ever seen. cant wait to go back in june. food good 90% of staff were very friendly but 10% of staff were very very rude...

The Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel is massive, amazing, the photographer was class, a lot of good sports, everybodys friendly.

Fantastic grounds and pools, only 5 mins from airport. Food your children will know. Entertainment. Good value for money. Photo man near restaurant is very good and good price too.

The best ruddy hotel and holiday i've ever been to in my life.

All good at the Monastir, Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel, absolutely fabulous for couples or families, bad points no full english breakfast.

this was my 4th time at Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel the people are so friendly, food is fine, accommodation is nice and clean. The nightclub is great to dance til 2am. Easy excess to local bus service to take you into Sousse, which is great for bargain hunters like myself. I can't wait to go again in June. The pools are fantastic, there is plenty of entertainment all day long and the staff are all very hard-working to make your stay very pleasurable.
