Submitted A Claim 8 Weeks Ago And Still Not Paid!

My dog was diagnosed with diabetes at the beginning of September. She needs a new bottle of Insulin every two weeks costing £60. We also have to have blood tests every two weeks. I put in a claim on 14th September and have put in another four since then. I have spent £900 to date and. Not yet received a penny from the AA. They use delaying tactics by saying they receive the claims almost two weeks after the vet emailed them. They do not respond to emails or voice messages. My first claim is currently only just being assessed even though it was received on the 14th September! I have asked to make a formal complaint but need to speak to a supervisor who was on a tea break! I am still awaiting a call 2 days later. Meanwhile I am paying £66 a month in premiums. Avoid

Aa Extortion

£44 a month for my French Mastiff and for the first year-1 ear infection & 1 stomach upset -off I went to the vet. AA cannot be faulted for reimbursing me - but my new premiums for Year2 are £99/month. Originally told it was because I'd made a claim, then due to rising costs, then "it's not our fault it's the underwriters...)-they cannot justify so make excuses. Advised to downgrade my coverage to make it £64/month! I took out lifetime coverage and didn't expect the AA to be taking advantage so extremely. Completely unreasonable, unfair and misleading on initial take-up as not advised about this impact.

Yes of course I have. I've spoken to 3 different contacts and have been advised to go through a formal complaint before heading towards the Financial Svcs Council, and also written a complaint to them via their website. I still have no justification of this ridiculous hike other than excuses that it is the "underwriters" fault. My contract is with AA not underwriters and the bureaucracy is unnecessary

Only Paid Half What They Said They Would For Treatment

When my dog needed an MRI scan I phoned AA from the vets to check if I was covered. They assured me I was. I knew that they only paid £3000 for any treatment and I was happy to pay the balance. I now have another bill from the vets as AA will only pay £1,300. So there is a sizeable shortfall that I was not made aware of when I phoned them.

I feel I was really misled and not given all the facts on the phone

I also informed AA that my dog had died and to cancel the Insurance. I was sent a reminder a couple of months later that it was due for renewal. So inefficient and insensitive

I Wanted To Give Zero Stars In All Fields But This

I wanted to give ZERO stars in all fields but this seems impossible.

I've been trying to collect a very small sum from our pet insurance policy since December 2010 and they have been absolutely hopeless. Just a week ago they told me the claim has actually been lost (or maybe the cat ate it!) and I had to begin again. Of course I see this as a way of hoping we will all go away and not pursue totally legitimate claims. This was after at least 10 phone calls to them asking what was going on. Today I phoned again before restarting the claim to be told that another company is dealing with claims now and I had to call them. New company say that first company were so hopeless they were given contract and are trying hard to sort it all out. Of course premiums go to AA but they don't manage the claims. I finally heard that the claim will be pa*d but I've written to AA asking for compensation for time and phone call charges. And I said I was planning to tell a number of websites about how awful they are-- so here's my rant. Avoid like the plague because whilst they are good at selling insurance, they are terrible at p*ying out what you are owed.

I Have Had Dogs And Pet Insurance For Nearly 30 Ye

I have had dogs and pet insurance for nearly 30 years and this is the worst pet insurance company I have dealt with. Keep telling us faxed forms not received when vet has positive sent reports. Even got throught to claims office and was told to ring back because not able to speak to me although I established I was speaking to a claims advisor. Keep clear.
