BMW X3 3.0d M Sport

After just under 3 year of ownership of a BMW 3 litre deisel M sport X3 I am advised that the DPR needs replacing and a few other parts associated with it. Total bill £2,890. As the car is out of warranty both the dealer (Rybrook BMW) don't want to know and neither do BMW UK.

I am advised the DPR is a common fault if you only do local mileage and the DPR filter never has chance to clean itself (However I have done lots of motorway miles, but other components have failed meaning the DPR could not clean itself and so is completely clogged) and there are loads of other components that can fail that can then affect the DPR. The DPR replacement alone is £2,000. Do not buy a second hand version of this car! You have been warned!!
