SanDisk Sansa E250 2GB

I Love the SanDisk Sansa E250 2GB! It has everything even videos!

Personally not happy with Tech Support, the player stopped charging and it was plugged into the computer - contacted tech support and I feel I received no help - although they did advised me that I should buy a new one! No I will not buy a new one - I spent 180 on this to so why a new one!? If I do buy a new one I'm going for an Apple iPod.

One drop of the SanDisk Sansa E250 2GB and my screen went blank but could still hear music.

First of all, I'd like to notice that I use my player for music listening mostly (no game playing or Internet access). Besides, I can't say that I have thousands of favourite songs.

So basically, when I had the question of buying a mp3 player my requirements to it were: not big size, big enough screen which is easy to navigate and the music storage that can be increased.

I've checked several brands and their prices. Now I own it about a month.

1. Advantages

The player is rather small but the screen is big to see everything clearly. Moreover, the screen is durable, I have no scratches on it though i'm not so delicate. It's easy to hold in my big hand, a tiny thing will be not a good choice for me. The menu is comfortable to navigate, i had no issues with it.

I was surprised by the good sound of my player. I like various music, but all genres of it were reproduced precisely.

Great advantage for is that there is no need to use iTunes with this mp3 player. Before Sansa I had iPod with iTunes. The software - iTunes were not comfortable for me, i couldn't organize my music the way i like. When i got Sansa I was so happy that I didn't need any special soft.

2. Disadvantages

I think the player looks a bit plastic comparing to other brands like iPod or Creative Zen. Probably it's because of combination of black and blue colors.

The player has rather sharp lines and I think doesn't look feminine.

Sansa player doesn't have many features as other players, it can be a disadvantage for those who are used to multi-functional media-players.

To sum it up, Sansa made good reliable player which is not overcrowded with many features.

I have now bought 4 of these, 3 x 1 GB and 1 x 2GB. They are great value for money and do the job. The AAA battery is easily replaced and lasts a long time.

The SanDisk Sansa E250 is probably the best alternative to an iPod out there, with heaps more features than even the iPod Video for less than the iPod Nano. It is very good looking, however, apart from it having a clickwheel, it doesn't actually look much like an iPod. For those who don't want to catch the bandwagon with all the other iPod owners, this is probably the best one you can get. I am very pleased with it, and so are all my friends. I would certainly recommend it, although at the end of the day it isn't an iPod.
