Lost/stolen Property

Although I would recommend the resort I would have to say to take extra good care of your belongings.

After having one week touring in the mountains we were heading for Blau Costa Verde when my husband

was taken ill and we had to go to the hospital.Family members on the tour took our two cases and two

rucksacks on to the hotel for us.On their arrival the staff took all the bags to their room to await our

arrival. When the staff went to get them for us the black rucksack had gone along with our camera, binoculars.mobile phones reading glasses , perscription pills and much more.

The worst part was all the conflicting stories from the staff first they said they had it on camera and that a

security guard had given it to a women then a rep had taken it to show around a bus and then

it was"nt our bag at all but someone else"s.The resort is in its own grounds with security so we

believe that it must have been staff or a client who was responsible for takeing the enjoyment

out of our holiday and spoiling my brothers wedding day for us.

Unfortunately, Even Though I Was Very Happy With O

Unfortunately, even though I was very happy with our carrier, Sunwing, the Blau Costa Verde Resort and booking agent, we will never go there again. My husband and I just returned to Canada from Cuba on 19th April 2007, which was our first trip to Cuba to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon arriving home I discovered that there was jewellery, approximately $400.00 in value, which included items given to me by my parents, which were very sentimental to me, and my husband's electric shaver, stolen from my suitcase at the Holguin airport sometime between the time we checked our luggage at Noon and 1:45 pm, when our flight left. I do not understand how the airport staff/baggage handlers can get away with this. I understand tourism is a big industry for them and you would think they would realize how this kind of action will affect it. I would not recommend anyone travel there, only because of the theft by airport staff/baggage handlers. The only luggage that does not leave your sight is your carry on luggage and unfortunately due to restrictions, contents, size, weight, etc. it is not possible to pack everything in it. If you check your luggage don't put anything in it that you want to have when you arrive home.
